Absolutely Disgusting – Avoid This Place at All Costs My stay at Signature London Hotel Ilford was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. This place is an absolute disgrace and should not be in operation. First off, the male receptionist who checked us in had a downright nasty attitude. No welcome, no professionalism — just cold, rude, and clearly annoyed to be dealing with guests at all. Asking simple questions about check-in and the room felt like we were bothering him. Completely unacceptable customer service. But things only went downhill from there. When we entered the room, we were shocked. The place was filthy — surfaces covered in dust, a strange smell in the air, and clear signs that the room had not been cleaned properly. But the most disturbing part? There was a sanitary pad stuck to the ceiling. It wasn’t used, thankfully, but that hardly makes it any better. The fact that something like that was even in the room — on the ceiling, no less — is beyond disgusting. It shows a total lack of basic cleaning and inspection standards. We immediately went back to the receptionist to report the issue, and his reaction was infuriating. No apology, no concern, and certainly no offer to fix the situation. He acted like we were making a fuss over nothing and refused to help — no room change, no refund, nothing. Just pure indifference. This hotel is dirty, badly managed, and clearly doesn’t care about its guests. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyon

The receptionist Mr Fahim was Amazing. He was so friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend the hotel if the price is 60£ or less.

Had to down grade as the room i booked had a broken shower had air con but was unbreathable mold on windows attic room ,, second room TV was not working, had no aircon but was given a fan, only had one towel to share between the two people (idont share) none left in the entire hotel, the room next was smoking just filled the room had music playing loud at 3 in the morning so couldnt sleep properly. The staff was nice but the place really needs some work

I had a little trouble finding the place as the front was very inconspicuous just look like a shop, inside was very warm and welcoming very clean and bright the receptionist pleasant, on getting to the room which was very nice found only one set of towels and one set of complementary soaps couldn't get the TV to work so went to reception on our way out and said about towels and the TV, was told that it would be looked into. on our return from the theater that evening looked like nothing had been done mentioned it once more and still nothing!! so had no television and only one set of towels to use between the two of us which wasn't all that satisfactory!!! I could have gone again but I thought twice was enough times of asking so hence my marking down of what would have been an almost perfect score

Reception check in was abrupt. Aur conditioning not working no fan available. No one on reception for perioids or answering call. Shower broken. Hole in carpet. Phone in room grimey. Punch holes in bathroom door. Excessive outside noise till early hours

Me and my wife arrived to check in at the hotel around 18:00. We were faced with nothing but an empty desk therefore, being unable to check in. I felt i had no choice but speak to staff from nearby shops to see if they had a contact number for the receptionist but had no luck. After waiting for around 25 minutes, the receptionist arrived and apologised as he had to nip to the shops for 5 minutes. I proceeded to say hewas not gone for 5 mins as I had be waiting for 25 minutes which he replied with ‘it was not 25 minutes, it would have been 7 minutes at the most’ By this point I felt patronised and appalled by his attitude, he done the bare minium and didn’t seem bothered at all. We were in a bit of a rush as we needed to freshen up and head back out to get to a gig at the London Stadium. Running late, we had no choice but to get an uber and spend money we never intended to spend. The room was more than suitable as it was only a place to lie our heads for the night although, my wife was disgusted with the plug hole in the shower tray which actually put her off showering. It was as if there was black gunge sitting in it. The noise levels were terrible late at night and in the morning mainly to do with the doors slamming shut. (Could do with soft close doors). Mattresses were rather firm and could kind of feel the springs however, to my surprise we actually slept ok. I hope this review has been helpful and what has been discussed will be addressed to improve this hotel.

Hotel was lovely and clean but our rooms electics where faulty , our bathroom light had its own disco all night and all sockets werent working , we couldnt have a tea or coffee or charge our phones , the bed wasnt very comfortable at all but apart from that all was good , the gentleman on reception when we arrived was very polite and helpful

Awful!

•Condition of the room - The hotel is in disgusting state with broken fixtures and fittings, marks and dead flies squished on the walls and ceiling. •The sleep - Atrocious two hours broken sleep on a old lumpy mattress which didn't have a mattress protector or mattress caseing. • TV remote control - Arrived to the room to find no TV remote control. Asked reception for one which they did. Slight issue, however, it didn't work.
