The Stamford Bridge hotel was what we expected, it was clean, well presented, a little dated, but no worse than most hotels we've stayed in, but what was excellent was the level of customer care that we received, the duty manager Neal went above and beyond with making us as comfortable as possible.

Breakfast not free, housekeeping needs training

Nice area but housekeeping did a huge blunder and misplaced items in our room when we specifically had the do not disturb sign on the door. Spoke to management, they have yet to respond-its been 3 days now.

1. Furniture was very cheap laminated wood, especially desks. 2. Front desk didn't seem to understand what a wash cloth was--we had nice towels, nice hand towels, but no wash cloths, and when we tried to explain, they really didn't understand that we needed a cloth to wash our bodies. Are the British really ignorant of wash cloths? 3. Hotel guests have to discuss/argue with security every time you go in and out of the hotel. This shouldn't be an issue. Give guests a badge or plastic card for easier entrance in and out of the hotel.

I stayed at the London Stamford Bridge Hotel for one night and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that cleanliness and hygiene were not a priority. There were visible footprints on the curtains, which made them look dirty and neglected. The toilet was not clean, the bathroom had mould, and to top it off, we found leftover food in the fridge from previous guests. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one in such a high-profile location. We reported all of this to Reception at the start of our stay, and while we were told housekeeping would be sent, no proper cleaning was done and we were stuck in an unclean room for the duration of our visit. The hotel was fully booked, so a room change wasn’t offered. In addition to the hotel issues, the security staff around Stamford Bridge stadium were incredibly rude. When we politely asked for directions, we were abruptly told to "just look at the signs" instead of receiving any help. It was an unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional attitude that made the experience around the area just as unpleasant. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.
