Close to Hyde Park and Paddington station. Very friendly staff. Generally satisfied with the stay, just a few things felt off. Room was small, shower was smaller and almost impossible to use even as a shorter/medium height person, tv did not work. Luggage storage is just a corner of the lobby, I understand there is cctv but that doesn’t prevent luggage from being stolen it just aids in the aftermath. Everytime we left we had to hand in our room key, I’m not sure if this is a common thing but I personally felt a bit uncomfortable with the key system. Over all it was fine, maybe best for a very quick stay

Clean and budget friendly

The hotel was charming, clean, safe and in perfect location. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Located a block from Paddington Station for easy access to all attractions. About 1/2 mile from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean and the neighborhood is perfect which is what my daughter and I were looking for.

Receptionist was really nice but unfortunately that’s where the niceness ended. We got a room on top floor with big suitcases but no lift so had to haul them up. The rooms walls were dirty and it seems like it was a single room that had a double bed thrown in as we had no space to move around. We had to pay a £100 deposit for what reason iv no idea. We had to hand back the keys every time we left so didn’t feel our belongings were safe so kept passports on us at all times. We ordered a taxi from the hotel at 5am and it stunk of curry/asian food which was really overpowering and when we got to our destination the driver told us he only takes cash so I had to run around at 5.30am looking for a bank machine. Live and learn to read reviews better before booking.

Good price good position hotel

Staff were friendly and polite, room was good for solo traveller. Well placed for West End and a short bus trip to East End. Also near Tube stations. The room was a bit too warm and no way to turn radiator off. Mattress was a bit soft for me.

I can't say strongly enough - AVOID

Please don't be misled by some of the photos, this is a really horrible place to stay. The room was scruffy and dusty with mismatched furniture, flickering lights, a cold shower and one minute grimy window that was too high up to see through. Bathroom windows opened wide at waist height with an enormous drop below (hardly ideal or safe for a 'family' room). The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The £100 deposit 'in case of damage' is laughable given the state of the rooms. I also found it unusual and unnerving being asked to leave the key with them when we went out. Overall one of the worst places I've ever stayed.

Cheap and fine for short stay

the rooms are a mismatch of items and there are no luxuries but i had everything i needed in a clean comfy room. Other patrons were noisy and there are lots of stairs but staff were lovely. Location is fab for Paddington and Kennington park

When we arrived we weee greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. The toilet and shower are compact. The beds were comfy and we slept well. The only thing the room missed was a mini fridge. The hotel was close by to Paddington with access to Paddington station and an array of restaurants.

Do not stay here

Stayed with my 7-year old son. Check in was swift but as we got to the room I noticed that our basement room had a window that didnt close, it had been locked while open and now it couldnt shut. The window led on to stairs up to the road. The staff told me that they lost the key and they had no other rooms to give me. Feeling very unsafe in a room with direct access from the street I managed to come up with som sort of solution including the bin, so I would be able to get some sleep. This made me feel a bit more safe, but the draft from storm Bert was absolutely freezing. Pathetic excuse of a hotel, refusing any refund for a room that did not meet the absolutely basics of what their guests pay for.
