My sister and niece's Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, Coach bags and my sisters BREAST CANCER medication were STOLEN out of our room today. I notified management immediately who reviewed the CCTV footage and noted that the maid let a random man into our room. The video shows this man leaving with the stolen goods. We called the police who were thorough, empathetic and knowledgeable and filed a police report. Unfortunately, i cannot say the same for the hotel staff. The managers, Alberto De Cerro and Raviandu, were apologetic but that's it. We were told to contact corporate. When it truly hit me what happened, I became extremely distressed and anxious that I realized had he been there when I returned to the room alone, anything could have happened to me. When I expressed my concern to Alberto about this security breach and how scary this really was, I was met with another empty sorry but my concerns were not acknowledged. While in the lobby, I spoke to another guest who told me she had £150 stolen out her room and was simply told to "call the police". There is a lack of responsibility by this hotel to ensure the safety of guests and their belongings, despite their slogan of 'BeRIUsponsible' which claims to "promote a positive impact and build trust...through best practices. RIU London Plaza Victoria fails to adhere to their own slogan. we realized that security at this hotel is nonexistent. After filing our report, we immediately checked out the hotel because we were scared 0⭐️
