We are an American couple that stayed here for a week in late May 2025. In the US we often stay in Hampton Inns as they are usually nice and have everything you need and nothing you don't. Riu is a step above Hampton Inn in all regards, but fits that same model: everything we needed for a wonderful stay in London. The hotel is literally across the street from Victoria station (we just took the tube from the airport, including large luggage, no issues). Check in was easy and our room was available very early, which was great coming off the plane. There are no bellhops or people that are not needed (huge plus for me ... I haul our bags from the airport, yeah I don't need to tip someone for wheeling a bag another 100 feet to my room). The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and sparkling clean. TV channel assortment is plentiful; nice when winding down at the end of the day. King bed was very comfortable. Room temp can be adjusted nicely, including air flow fan speed. Bathroom is very nice and had a large walk-in shower with a rain shower head and removeable head, with instant hot water and decent pressure. Best of all, they actually had a shower door that totally seals and does not allow water to get on the bathroom floor! Breakfast was A+. They say to go early or expect a wait, but we had zero wait any day, even after 10am a couple of slow days. Great way to start the day.
