The rooms were nice but the entrance to the hotel was so dirty, uninviting, and unsafe. Homeless people were all outside iliear the entrances. It was so bad we contemplated getting out of the car. The entrance was dirty. The dirt on the windoes could be seen at night. The parking area was nasty. It was the feel of a motel. The carpet getting off the elevator was filthy. The room however was clean with good mattresses. Crisp sheets. If i has known the above factors l, i would not have picked this hotel. Then we were chaeged parking in that nasty lot. I think for that price for the night the placr should have a look of elegance.

We stayed one night for a concert and the overall hotel room was okay. We had a whole in the wall. But the hotel and surrounding areas are not the nicest. Homeless and drug addicts we didn’t feel very safe.

Very disappointed w our stay. My room had stains all over the floor and the bathroom was dirty. The shelf in the bathroom was broken. My hair dryer was missing. We also were right next to a half way house where people were doing drugs urinating changing their clothes outside the hotel and we were with kids which didn't make us feel safe. Have stayed at Sandman before and was very disappointed at the quality of this hotel. We were a party of 7 people and won't be returning back here again.

Building entrance in poor repair with numerous "trip" hazards. ( BROKEN STAIRS, CHIPPED TILES etc. ) people sleeping in doorway alcoves, people sorting collection of beer cans at door entrance. Noisy hallways in the building. Light switch in bathroom conrolled fan and was VERY NOISY and annoying.

Rating a hotel is all about value and the Sandman gives guests their money’s worth. It is not the most luxurious hotel in London but the rooms are excellent and the breakfast included, although relatively simple, is a bonus. The rates are reasonable for sure.

I felt so unsafe from the moment I got there. There were delinquents outside doing drugs. The underground parking would not accommodate the size of my vehicle and it was not closed off to the general public anyway there was a party at about 2 AM on my floor as a result, I had no sleep, I might as well not have stayed at a hotel when I mentioned it to the concierge in the morning, laughed at his head

We asked for the bathroom to be cleaned after they told us we could ask and they responded with attitude saying “they can’t just drop everything to come clean”. i responded saying i know that, we meant for the next day…. they never showed up. everything else was fine. the lady working desk was so nice.

Price could definitely be lower for the side of town its on. Theres security in the lobby but anyone can still walk in and get to your hotel room. Hotel room (Master King) was not ready even though I was given the key and told to go upstairs. Hair was left in the bed and shower, and when I called for house keeping to change the sheets and get the pull out couch ready while I was away from the hotel, they left the master untouched and never once changed my sheets. Theres no balcony or private smoking area for guest so you have to go outside where all the homeles people are camping out. Which doesnt feel safe at all at night when security never leaves the inner lobby. Complimentary breakfast was one of the only benifits of staying here which was good, coffee is typically burnt though. As a women traveling all by themselves id definitely stay clear of this place unless you have some extra security or locks with you.
