Unfortunately the start of our stay this time did not go well. We were put in a room below the standard we had booked. But that wasn't the worst the room it's self was mouldy and in a shabby state. When we reported this we were told the hotel was full and unable to move us till the following day. We were very pleased with how the staff dealt with the complaint and gave us a better room gor the remainder of our stay.

Jacob the Food and Beverage Operations Manager was amazing in arranging a special diner for my wife. Our server was a wonderful young lady called Alisha. She made the evening in our private pod magical. She was full of smiles and joy, even though she was having to keep coming outside in a drizzly March evening, with food and drink. Top marks and five stars

Good but could do better.

The rooms very very clean and tidy and the overall hotel had a modern look about it. The car park wasn't very well lit up at night and their was a security guard on a evening which gave me reassurance but it did give me food for thought. The pool could do with a good clean.

We recently stayed at Denham Grove for the first leg of our Europe trip, from Friday, February 14, to Monday, February 17, and had a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, making it a great choice for a short stay. The room was clean and well-appointed, providing a cozy space to unwind after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities were just what we needed for a pleasant stay. One of the highlights was the dining experience. The hotel offers a variety of good dining options, and every meal I had was well-prepared and delicious. The breakfast, which was included in the stay, was a great way to start the day, with a good selection of hot and cold items. Another convenient feature was the on-site parking, making it easy to arrive and leave without any hassle. The availability of parking added to the overall convenience of the stay. Overall, we had a great experience at Denham Grove and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great dining options and practical amenities like on-site parking and a good breakfast.

Your last last last resort for a hotel

Tired hotel. Staff didn’t want to be there and was evident on check in and out. Didn’t acknowledge me, welcome me! Shoved the paper across the counter and marked some crosses in paces. Almost threw the key at me. Hotel was very hot, tired radiator off but didn’t work so had to open window. Bathroom is tired and cracks in the basin and bath. Awful smell in the corridors Wouldn’t stay again

A bumpy night

No hot water for shower, very poor WiFi, also couldn't open window for some fresh air (permanently locked). Had a much better stay last time but unfortunately a few issues this time meant poor sleep & no shower.

Heating was up too high. Thermostat on radiator not working. Slept with windows open all night on top of the bed. So hot that it was extremely uncomfortable. What a waste of energy. Service in bar and room was great but sleep impossible

Great hotel, needs better hospitality

We stayed at the lovely looking and spacious hotel for one night as a family. Must say the reception staff was extremely professional, smiling and courteous. We were given the key to our suite which was spacious, comfortable and had a lovely bathroom attached to it. Brilliant sleep. We were told a baby cot had been placed in the room which was not there, but no problem. Great fitness facilities, superb swimming pool with warm water, so really brilliant. Now I come to to the major issue I think the hotel has, absolutely terrible breakfast hospitality manager! We were greeted with a colder than scotland hello, the gentleman clearly had no inclination to smile or be courteous. We noted he continuously kept roaming about, constantly literally 'throwing' cutlery into designated boxes, at one point when I was trying to pour milk i my mig, he literally arrived on site to suddenly want to pick a jug of milk next to my arm, trying to reach over my arm to pick it. Im probably sounding a snob here, which I truly am not, but the restaurant had only four tables occupied when this was happening. Interestingly, he was more occupied walking about than actually filling in the near empty breakfast containers. I went to get coffee from the coffee maker, when I heard three people loudly arguing in the kitchen, not very pleasant at all! This left us hugely confused, lovely reception staff but terrible bfast experience.
