Poorly maintained room

Hotel Room vey basic and out dated. Our room was in desperate need of a paint job, constant damp smell. Mould on the bathroom ceiling, hairdryer never got hot, pillows flat. General just really poor maintenance.

Very dated decor - needs full refurbishment.

The hotel was in an excellent location for our trip which involved the Royal Albert Hall. It is also close to Kensington High Street shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean but the decor is so dated. It looks like something from the 80's or 90's. Also the toilet seats are too small for the toilet basins which looks rather ugly. I noticed this in our own room and in the shared toilets. Shower over a bath. Light switches in the room are also poor. This hotel needs a full refurbishment.

Took 40 minutes to check in as there were too few staff on the front desk. Dumped bags and left as we had a dinner reservation. Toilet blocked on arrival, we were only there for a night and couldnt be bothered to report at 10pm agter returning from our dinner reservation as just wanted to go to sleep. Walls paper thin, could hear next door talking until 2am, and the other side snoring. The whole place is out dated and needs upgrading. If it wasnt cheap, we wouldn't stay, and if it wasnt for the fact it was 10pm when we realised, we would have probably found somewhere else to stay.

Well they have improved since the last time we stayed. This time I have no complain. Our room is okay, clean and tidy, the toilet is clean and there's no mould on the wall. The bathroom has improved and looks newly refurbished. I like it this way. Hopefully our next stay will be like these room again.
