Had a lovely weekend! Hotel bit dated and tired but ok the tele wasn’t the best it’s not linked to the wifi so terrible reception we asked to be moved as we wanted to watch tele they did move us to a better room but was still unwatchable. Pool was small but clean and warm overall good stay

We loved the staff at the bar, reception and restaurant....fantastic service! The breakfast was lovely with quality sausages and bacon, nice cup of tea! Loved option of ordering latte from the dining room with the waitress as the coffee is not so good. The room we stayed in was okay, clean but could be made sooooo much better just if some love and care was spent fixing the minor problems in the room you can see. All need is maintenence man to fix cracked wall, cover old leak marks with paint, sand filler on bathroom door, new silicone on sink/shower cubicle, fill cracks and lick of paint! Someone has done botch job on fixing leg of dressing table and paint mark on chair in room needs removing! It would take half a day to fix all this and make it perfect! Just need good maintenance person! Employ a good 2 or 3 maintenance men/ women and hotel would be beautiful. Minor but numerous little visual issues letting hotel down. Staff are 5* . Ignore bad reviews on this hotel, well worth it!

Nice stay
Pleasant hotel with lovely staff. The roof in my room (324) needs recovering as there are water stains on it. Buffet breakfast was good with good choice of hot food and a lesser choice of continental.Bar prices were quite expensive compared to other local hotels but entertainment was provided.

The hotel offers great VFM for the budget conscious, this is not the Ritz, nor a dive. The hotel is being cared for and you get what you pay for. We have stayed here several times the staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is fantastic value. Rooms are comfy and tidy. What more do you want? A swimming pool? There is one. A games room? There is one.

Great value. For this class of property the breakfast options are excellent. Only downer was the room smelt of cigarette smoke. Nice that it's pet-friendly.

The superior bedroom was only worth classing as a basic room. No heating on in bedroom and unable to put it right. Told no continental breakfast available Brought a dirty blanket for warmth on the bed. We decided to leave after one night without having breakfast . A disgrace!

Our room was on the top floor and although it could have done with some TLC it was very cosy, bed was comfortable and it was fine for the short stay we had. It was clean and the only issue was the size of the bathroom which was the smallest one I have seen.

A pleasent stay
We had great stay, 2 couples with 2 rooms. We had lovely large beds, plenty of space, and clean rooms that were well stocked with towels, pillows and tea and coffee facilities. Nothing else was needed. We were very happy.

Had a lovely stay and all staff were amazing. Was a misunderstanding thinking we had smoked in the room but was easily sorted once they realised stumps on the scaffolding were from the buildings outside. Is greatly positioned to see all around
