The hotel is old but not bad , stuff very friendly but not much helpful, we couldnt find our room because was on the grand floor opposite the car park , so I went to ask the staff , and the lady even don’t know how to find our room , I understand she is new but she should have training . Breakfast stuff Ok but ,don’t like when they brought the croissants from kitchen and with dirty hands she put the croissants in to the basket, overall breakfast was awful.

we went here to chill out and have a swim in the pool but was not open due to changing room out order i have had a look at other reviews last year and it was out off order then so owner needs to sort this out it does not say this when you book as wood have look at other hotel here out dated all off it food ok staff good

Floor boards where creaky so got woken up from ppl above felt like furniture was getting moved around. Car parking was a nighmare. Had swimming pool but all facilities where out of use so had to go upstairs dripping with towel round you. None of this was mentioned on wensire . Single room smelt of sweat was no air to it. Complained to property 5 days later no reply. Disgraceful all round.

Unbelievably bad

Awful experience place covered in scaffolding boarded up windows was woken up a 12.15am with workman jet washing paint of the ceiling under our room was told after complaining this work was scheduled .at 1am in the morning this was no joke .

Another great stay at the Marine

Another great stay at the Marine, love going in the pool as it never too busy. It’s great of an evening sitting in the bay windows watching the world go by with a glass of wine

Excellent hotel, staff very friendly. Can’t comment on food or drinks as we didn’t stay for these at the hotel. Room was outdated a bit but didn’t spoil the stay. Only downside of this short stay was internet service is very bad in that area and the hotel WiFi didn’t let us connect and when it did was only 1 bar and kept on disconnecting

The staff were not particularly friendly, the property was not very clean, the decoration in our room looked like a child had been let loose with a paintbrush. The carpet was stained. The lounge area in the bar was dirty. We ordered a sandwich for lunch, it took 40 minutes to arrive. (It wasn’t busy) The menu for dinner was pie or fish, we cancelled the table. The noise from other residents (not hotel’s fault) throughout the night was dreadful. No phone in room so unable to contact reception. All in all dreadful. I would not recommend this hotel.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid as needs decorating and a good scrub ... bathroom ridiculously small and shower cubicle doesn't fit a cold even.......the food is really disappointing and inedible... poor choice of food
