We were upgraded due to our Expedia membership which was a great perk, which seemed to mean that we got a nicer room with a coffee machine, a free cookie and use of a robe. We were told the room was recently refurbished which you could really tell as it was more modern that the rest of the hotel and a room we had stayed in on a previous visit. Staff were really pleasant and helpful when we spoke to them. Car parking was easy, you just need to give your reg to reception each time you leave and they clear your balance.

The Liner is a fantastic family owned hotel just behind Lime Street station (a hidden gem maybe). The hotel had everything we needed for a night away, the room was well maintained and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you're planning a trip to Liverpool, I'd 100% recommend The Liner for a stay.

Great location. Friendly staff. Parking was a huge bonus. Bar and restaurant very good. A little noisy overlooking road. Decor is a bit tired. Mattresses were uncomfortable and need replacing.

Had the best long weekend here, the hotel was highly above expectations, room was amazing, bed was so comfortable. The cleanliness of the room was amazing with daily housekeeping. Staff were lovely and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Will definitely be returning next year!!

Second stay at the Liner Hotel
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and will use again. From first contact with the guys on the carpark through check-in and the breakfast service team to check out and eventually leaving the carpark we met a team of the most welcoming and helpful people.

Very pleased to be upgraded but couple of observations. There was only 2 normal teabags, quite a serious crack on a bathroom tile, very wonky chair and couldn’t turn down the heating there were 60per mile hour winds so couldn’t open the window that was suggested
