Lovely hotel in the heart of the tourist area in Lisbon. Currently undergoing some work, but managed in a way that wasn’t noticeable. Was able to check in an hour early as well, which was convenient. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Attic room
The staff we dealt with were all exceptional. The room was not! It was the size of a closet, with an attic overhang making it impossible for both of us to stand at the same time or to move in the room at the same time. The bathroom door only opened half way as the toilet was in the way. I am diss appointed that Hotels.com would recommend this hotel - especially at the nightly price - and I used a previous reward night. We are disappointed to say the least!

We were initially put in a “‘mansard” room that was under 100 square feet (yes, we measured) even though the Expedia website said it was 194 sq ft. Even worse, you couldn’t walk around without hitting your head on the ceiling. Front desk staff were real nice about switching us to a standard double room the next day (which is what we had actually reserved) and this was much better. Still, it seemed quite a bit smaller than the 172 sq ft claimed on the website.

The hotel is conveniently located in Rossio square within walking distance to everything (dining, shopping, tourist attractions,entertainment, scheduled tours starting in the areas). The room was spacious, with modern amenities and very comfortable. Staff were very nice too.

The Rossio was an excellent choice! The fantastic experience began when we checked in with the gentleman (Daniel Perez? - afternoon of Saturday, August 10). This was the best experience i have ever had at a check in. He was pleasant and informative. He walked us to our room, which was in a different building and gave us the best recommendation for a restaurant. The room was small, but unique, and was very quiet, even positioned near a busy intersection. The bathroom was spectacular, with a great shower. I highly recommend the Rossio!
