Second honeymoon dream stay

This was a highlight of our trip, the hotel is a gem; very well located and the range of perks included such as the wonderful breakfast, jacuzzi, evening drinks and sweets. Our stay was something we won't forget.

Wow, like a palace

If you want to experience history, convenient location and luxury, coming here is a MUST. I visit here for my birthday in October and I felt like I was in another world. My absolute favorite experience here was the massage and groto! 5stars!! Everyone was friendly and seriously this place is exceptional. You want to feel like royalty and the convenience of all the shops in walking distance was perfect!! I can’t get over how lovely this palace is!! Breakfast was great and so was the complimentary wine. The decor is well maintained and beautiful. I loved having two balconies! I cannot wait to comeback!!

Most Magical Hotel in Lisbon!

The most magical hotel I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world! Absolutely every detail has been well thought out, and executed to perfection. It felt like stepping back in time, but with all the modern comforts and amenities one would expect of a beautiful hotel in the year 2025. I can’t recommend it enough!

This hotel was the best experience of the six hotels we stayed in over our 10 day vacation. The staff is super welcoming and helpful and their uniforms are magnificently charming. The location was fantastic for walking and touring the Old Town and there were plenty of dining options nearby. The room was quaint and fitting for the time period of that part of town. One fantastic highlight was the evening wine, bread, cheese, and olives in the hotel cellar. Pouring your own wine, any or all of three choices, out of a huge barrel and listening to classic Fado music in the relaxing atmosphere was one of the most memorable experiences we had the entire vacation. Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is within walking distance from the waterfront, dining, the tram stops and metro stations, and many major attractions that Lisbon has to offer. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and genuinely friendly. The property itself is beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, with so many choices. I can go on and on... We are dfinitely staying there again next time we are in Lisbon!

The unique architecture, having been a palace before a hotel, makes this accommodation very charming. The entire staff was very nice and very helpful. We highly recommend this location. No negative comments.

The management, Patricia refused to deal with an egregious billing error created by the hotel. I was billed 195 euro last spring by expedia for the 8th night of a 8 night booking, which was cancelled in error by the hotel . After rebooking and paying through expedia for the 8th night, the hotel refused to refund the 195euro on the first booking , and took the room cost from my expedia account again .Patricia had all the proof of payments, but never got back to me, and claimed they received no money from Expedia,despite my proving otherwise with Expedia receipt statements. . Obviously Expedia and my Amex paid for the first 7 nights and the 8th night. Patricia was very unhelpful, asking for copies of my bank account, when it was clear that the 8 nights were paid by credit card. To add insult to injury , after my return home, the hotel billed my US MC $247.45! .So I have to fight for the 195euros, as well as a $247.75 US MC charge. To summarize, I paid 3 times for one night , and I spent several hours trying to resolve it at the hotel with a very uncooperative “ manager “ who was unnecessarily adversarial. I paid $4121.10 for 7 nights for Nos Moscada 05, which was very dated, and a tripping hazard. The walls were sloped, so at 5’2”, I was hitting my head. I was charged 3 times, as outlined previously, for the 8th night. A frustrating and stressful end to an otherwise good vacation.

This was a beautiful hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. However, the bathroom hand shower did not work, the hot water was not hot enough, the a/c did not cool the room as well it should have, the room telephone did not work and I could not get a receipt when we checked out. So, I feel a paid a lot of money for one night but the amenities were not up to par.
