We loved the location. We did request a ride from the airport and notified them that there were 4 people. We were picked up by a small car that barely accomodated our luggage. They had a difficult time working with the fact that there were 2 different rooms booked and neither couple were planning on having breakfast together. Also we were given the key to a room that had the wrong name on the welcome letter. The room was truly beautiful with high ceilings and beautiful comfortable bed. The baseboards needed a coat of paint and the carpet although very clean really needed an update. The worse part of the stay was the fact that whenever you used water in the bathroom the pipes would vibrate very loudly. You could not use the toilet at night for fear of waking up your partner.

We loved the property itself. The breakfasts were amazing, the staff and the rooms were lovely. Everything we wanted was close. The only complaint was the noise level. The building is historic which is a double edged sword. The plumbing is noisy. The windows are not double pane so when the garbage / recycling trucks go by in the middle of the night, it is very loud. The same goes for when the restaurants close and patrons leave and have loud conversations. If you have good ear plugs or are a sound sleeper, this location is prefect.

The staff at this beautiful hotel were very welcoming and helpful and even surprised me with complimentary cake and port on my birthday. We had views of the castle and the sea from our gorgeous suite and the icing in the cake was having an amazing breakfast brought to our room every morning. Thoroughly recommend!

Great hotel. Quiet. Very accommodating staff. There are some stairs to get to the hotel room but easily managed. There is no real lobby but we liked that because we felt like we were in our own palace. We rarely ran into any other people stating there. The room was beautiful and huge. We loved our time there and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property. The daily breakfast was inroom with a nice selction or warm and cold food. Not handicap acessible and all rooms are on the 3rd floor via stairs only. Just an FYI

Lovely hotel in the Chiado neighborhood. The hotel is an old palace so the rooms are the perfect mixture of historic charm with modern amenities. The hotel staff was super helpful and welcoming, they even booked our restaurant reservations each night! You also can’t beat the breakfast and the VIEW!

Goregous old building with an interesting history. The room was enormous even by American standards. Breakfast is prepared fresh and delivered to your room daily. Fabulous boutique hotel in a lovely central part of Lisbon close to everything. Staff welcoming and helpful, superb breakfast, comfortable beds, huge bedroom and bathroom. Lovely decor, it feels like you’re staying somewhere far more expensive and palacial. The only negatives are noise. We were on the street side of the hotel and it was very noisy late into the night, first revellers then bin collections. By night 2 we had resorted to ear plugs to be able to sleep. The water system also creates quite a lot of noise whenever water is run or a toilet flushed. We loved our stay here but, if noise is a concern, it might not be the perfect choice for everyone.

This hotel is a converted 1846 residence. It still contains many fine details of the era like fine plaster ceilings, yet still feels comfortably modern. The staff is very attentive to guest needs. The breakfast is most outstanding. The location is very convenient to the areas where we needed to go. I highly recommend it.

Lovely trip

Really lovely place - the only negative would be the noise from the street which was pretty loud (we had suite 3) but the staff were lovely and the room was very comfortable and HUGE! Nice central location perfect for exploring Lisbon.
