The standard room for 2 is small and cramped. The air conditioning doesn’t work - I was told that if it is too hot, open a window. The hotel is in a busy area of town, it would be too noisy.
Also, because the weather was terrible, there were cold nights so even then there is no warm air.
Also, all reception staff do not seem to have empathy nor common sense. Yes, I will mis- pronounce things in a language I am not proficient in, don’t smile in a patronising way and don’t shout louder in English. I don’t understand how all the receptionists are in a hospitality trade for this hotel.
My partner and I arrived late (around 10-11pm) and one of you proceeded to give me a whole spiel on what to see and do - the correct thing to do then is to say, why don’t you get some rest and come back in the morning when you are not in a hurry to look for supper!
I have never been let down with a booking with Expedia, but on this occasion, I am exceedingly dissatisfied.
The room given to me is not of 4 star standard.
Despite all of the above, the only positive I can give is the breakfast but I believe it is only an agreement the hotel contracts to the restaurant next door.
