Absolutely first class place to stay!

Second time I've stayed at Woodcocks. Absolutely wonderful. I can't think of anything at all to say against it. Nice rooms, fabulous restaurant, great food and service, plenty of outdoor space/seating and a very attractive price. Just brilliant. We'll be staying again.

Evening meals were value for money and a good selection. The one and only time I had the cooked breakfast, the mushrooms were burnt and the scrambled egg looked more like a well cooked fried egg chopped up! And, no I didn`t complain as I needed to get to work. I probably would have said something, had I been asked how the breakfast was?

Good value accommodation, in a lovely location. Everything you need for a short break, a comfortable, clean room, en-suite bathroom with plenty of hot water and good quality towels. Free on site car parking. We had a delicious large cooked breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee, fruit juice, toast, croissants, fruit, yogurt and cereals and a friendly member of staff serving us. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Not quite the level of a similar chain hotel however general cleanliness was OK. The pub next door wasnt the best in terms of cleanliness, not enough staff and things like huge amount of dust of top of coffee machine, cutlery and glasses not cleaned great either
