Only stayed one night, to meet up with family, hotel in excellent position for bars/ restaurants and had slight view of River. Would definitely stay here again.

Not what I expected. Pictures were way better than my room.
We always stay in the Holiday Inn when in Lincoln. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff.
Comfortable, quirt room, overlooking the River Brayford. Comforable beds.
A little difficult getting out ofthe bath as the sides are high.
Everything was was fine.
Delicious breakfast with a great range and choice of food and drink.
Sent a message via the Expedia app on 12 march prior to my stay. Don’t think I’ve received a reply since. I’m now back at home (3 days later) Not sure that the receptionist I spoke to at the hotel was particularly helpful either - or she didn’t understand me ( I was unwell, so I may have been a bit muddled ) There were 2 or 3 receptionists over the period that I spoke to and they were superb.
The service / staff / housekeeping were good and the breakfast was lovely
Our only compliment would be is that we were given replacement milk pots as we used the four pots we had, had a cup of tea on arrival and one a coffee when we got up the next day, and then we didn't have any the next day - if when the beds were made, housekeeping could top them up that would have been appreciated.
Comfortable room, great breakfast and fantastic location. Disappointed we only had a small window tucked in an alcove, no natural light and no view.
Had trouble finding our way in the dark, so parked in nearby multistory car park (Lucy Tower)and walked. Glad we did as hotel car park was full and more expensive.

Great Location, Cleanliness lets it down.
We have stayed at various Holiday Inns and always been impressed by the value for money. This hotel was in a fantastic location overlooking the wharf. There was an on site car park (fee payable at hotel) which was also handy. We like to stay somewhere with a bar and this one was very pleasant to have a drink in. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was very good and cooked really well. The cleanliness let the stay down. We were about to get into bed when we realised that the bed sheet was covered in marks similar to lipstick. This was just below where the pillow sits so I cannot fathom how this wasn’t noticed when the bed was made. We reported this to the Night Porter who was brilliant. He came with a fresh sheet and replaced it immediately - and apologised. He also took a photo and said he would be reporting it to Housekeeping. The overall room cleanliness was not good - the start of black mould around the windows and lots of dust behind chairs and around the lamps that clearly had been there a while just because no one has bothered to quickly slide the chair across and vacuum. Disappointing after so many great stays with Holiday Inn.
Put us in a disabled room when we’re fully able on the ground floor firstly, the room was noisy, shower had marks, furniture was worn and the double bed we paid for was actually 2 single beds put together and because they’re made for disabled people, the bed are incredibly low down. Room was noisy could hear everything from next door and the corridor. When I asked to pay for an upgrade, the woman said they were fully booked however I went online and saw there were many rooms available. Safe to say I won’t be coming back here, and I will be staying next door in the Hilton whenever I’m in Lincoln

No heating my elderly mum was very cold, noisy doors slamming throughout the night. No coffee machine like it advertised in our room but there was one in mums room.
