Well maintained fully attentive Hotel.
Yes, of all the hotels I have stayed in recently the George Hotel Limerick definitely is up there with the best. All the small details like the chocolates waiting on us upon arrival to basic things like sewing kits etc etc... Got the nod of approval from my wife which is always good. We stayed in a triple room a double and a single for my daughter. The only thing i woukd say would be the double was a tad small for us as we are used to having king size beds but was fine.

Property was easy to get to from the bus stop for tours and for bus to city. Nice dinner and breakfast (able to eat in or pack to go). Quiet room. Definitely would recommend.

Excellent hotel property. The place was clean and offered everything needed for a party of 4. Parking is a bit rough. You can pull up to the curve to unload luggage, but know that your car will stick out. There are a few parking spots out front that you can grab to avoid the 10 euro per night parking lot. We got there during the free parking (530pm-830am), which was a nice cost saver.

If arriving by car there isn’t really a loading zone so you basically park in middle of traffic to drop your bags and drive a few streets away to park at a parkade. We had a king room and it was huge. Lots of space, bathrooms were clean and had amenities you need. Breakfast was nice, typical for all those where breakfast was included. It was very close to the river so lovely area. For dinner options, we got in late so didn’t look far. We ended up at Hunters pub which was not very good at all.

I advised the hotel when I made the booking that i have a scent allergy, and asked if that would be a problem. I received no response, so I figured it would be okay. If they told me that they use strong perfume in the lobby and corridors, I would have stayed elsewhere. A scent allergy is a medical condition that can give me migraine headaches. The hotel ignored my enquiry, making me pretty miserable. I was able to keep the scent out of my room by stuffing toilet paper around the door. Otherwise, the hotel is modern, clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly.

The accommodations I initially booked didn't work out, so I ended up booking into The George on short notice. It ended up being a great place to stay! It was very clean and comfortable, with only a little bit of street noise drifting up to my room. The tub was fantastic (and the duckie was a cute touch). It would have been nice to have a handheld shower wand, but the overhead worked well enough. The beds were very comfortable, with clean and soft bedding. The location was great - easy to walk to various places in the city, but it didn't feel overwhelming or busy. I was extremely comfortable and happy here, and will book again if I return to Limerick!

We had a room facing the inner courtyard. So a nice and quiet stay in the middle of the city. Amenities were nice. Nice bar and restaurant on site. Car park less than a 5 minute walk. You may get a better price if you book direct.

I like the hotel’s location but the sound proof of the room was terrible. I was staying on the weekend so the DJ and music downstairs could be heard and had a hard time sleeping. Also, I could hear people chatting, door closing, and even showering or using toilet from upstair rooms. The sound insulation is really bad to be honest. If you are a light sleeper like me, I do not recommend this hotel.
