This hotel advertises itself as “Casa Andina PREMIUM,” but there is nothing premium about it. Despite booking two rooms with VIP access through Expedia, we were given outdated, moldy rooms with stained carpets, ripped curtains, and non-functioning A/C. The bathrooms had mold stains and were poorly maintained. I tried to cancel our stay on the first night, but the hotel refused, so we were stuck for 9 nights.
After repeated complaints, we were “upgraded” to remodeled rooms — which should have been provided from the start — but even those were hot, humid, and uncomfortable. Worst of all, my mom found mouse droppings in her room.
Pros: Breakfast was great with a good variety, especially on weekends. The location is excellent, the indoor pool is a nice perk, the beds were comfortable, and the staff is generally kind and helpful.
