We had a wonderful stay at the Outrigger in Lihue! The best part of our experience was the staff—everyone we encountered was extremely responsive, professional, and polite. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The property itself is beautiful, with well-maintained pools and hot tubs. My child especially loved the waterslide! The resort also offers easy beach access, which is great for relaxing walks and enjoying the views, though the ocean here isn’t ideal for swimming due to strong currents. Our room was clean but definitely on the older side. While it was well-kept, some areas felt a bit rundown. The biggest downside was the mattresses—they were quite worn out and very uncomfortable, which made sleeping a challenge. Overall, the Outrigger is a lovely place to stay with excellent service and great amenities. If they upgraded the beds, it would be a near-perfect experience!

Nice hotel overall but some things in the room needed updating or fixing. Very clean and great friendly staff. Pool area needs more lounge chairs maybe some on the grassy part so there are options The breakfast was amazing. We had the Macademia Nut waffles with coconut syrup and Mac Nut Butter. To die for. Don’t forget to capture the beautiful sunset.

Beautiful property beach access family friendly swimming pools are awesome front desk girls has great and friendly customer service, bell people can be more friendly they not really talkative and welcoming. ELSA from housekeeping was SUPER FRIENDLY AND KIND, she acknowledged us by our name and made us feel so welcomed. We will return to this property again.

Loved the property Non swimmable beach, but beautiful ❤️ Pool area nice, def need to get at least 20 more chairs!! This was common complaint I’ve seen Great location, centrally located Loved the homey feel and laid back style, would stay here again ❤️ Just fix the pool chair problem!!! Easy fix!!!

I liked it all yes the rooms were a little outdated but that was okay everything else was beautiful and they charge $30 a night to park your car I did not drive there was no bus transportation had to take cap cabs everywhere
