We reported several times a noisy toilet making sounds all night and it was never fixed. There was a power outage which once back on disconnected the TV and staff couldn’t fix it. A grille for the AC unit was missing which invited birds to roost there and make early morning noise. We would not stay there again.

The staff was friendly, our room was nice but there a was a sewage smell across the whole property. It is located close to a treatment plant. We sat at the main restaurant and they could not fix a blended drink as they had no blender. The whole property lost power and we did not have internet or tv for our stay.

Let me start off with the staff was great. Everyone was nice and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were nice after a long hike. The beach had a break wall which made swimming very enjoyable. The room was very musty and dingy. I figured it was because we were in a tropical place, but after visiting other islands, no hotel should smell like that. The bed was also very uncomfortable. Would I stay here again? Maybe. It was more affordable than some other resorts.

Pros: Beautiful location. Easy access to the beach. Food was good, staff was excellent. Only medium roast coffee available. A dark roast in one of the 3 dispensers would be appreciated by us coffee fiends. Cons: Pool and lounging area too small and couldn’t get away from loud, splashing, screaming kids…every day of our stay. Parking not included in the resort fee, so you pay an additional $25 per day if you have a car.

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years. It has gone downhill significantly in the last 2-4 years. I’ll not likely stay here again. The rooms have gotten old & dated & maintenance seems to have been at a bare minimum. For the cost it’s just not worth the money anymore.

Yhis hotel has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. It is right on Lydgate Beach. Two nice pools but no kids pool so kids are all around the pool. If you are looking for peace and quiet at the pool forget about it. They have a nice restaurant and a great tiki bar outside. There are no balconies where you can sit unless you are on the 1st floor by the pool. They have little to no privacy. They clean your room every 3rd day not every day. The fire show is absolutely great but expensive. Everything in Kauai is expensive! I highly recommend downloading the Shaka Guide app which has 4 self driving tours of the island by GPS coordinates so it always knows where you are at any point along the way. Makes the trip much more enjoyable then trying to figure out what to see and do. The north shore has the BEST beaches about 30 - 45 minutes from the hotel that are very secluded. It's a nice place to stay.

Hotel was great overall. There is a nightly fee for parking which is annoying but par for the course. Staff helpful and friendly. Housekeeping daily and always did a great job. On site restaurant had excellent food and nice variety for breakfast. Did not eat other meals there. Easy access to main road. Actually the only main road on the island Located next to the ocean and a county park with a sidewalk a little over a mile long. Great for daily walks if thats you. I highly recommend

Hotel is older and out dated. Not really a resort property so don’t expect it. It was fine for one night. Very expensive to charge $25 parking and $25 resort fee (not a resort). Very small, tiny, and 2 person scary elevator.
