Unfriendly, rude, dismissive, no ac
The front desk staff was incredibly unfriendly from the minute we stepped in the door. No introduction to the hotel facilities, no eye contact and would not give clarification when asked simple questions like, Where should we eat, things to do. When trying to catch a bus they weren’t willing to tell me how far or near what store. They just said it’s down the street. We were promised air conditioning and after talking to them called Hotel.com. Needless to say there was no air conditioning. We woke up late and all restaurants were closed for 5 hours. I took a pastry left out for breakfast and they told me I shouldn’t and charged me ten Euros. Every other place I stayed in Italy was friendly, helpful and wishing to make it an excellent stay. I can’t begin to recount the number of insulting interactions.
BTW, although there website offers to get you a car to the train station, they said they had none and that there were no taxis.
I cant believe this is part of Best Western. Shame on them for their unkindness.
Obviously Hotel.com did not fix air conditioning issue for us.
