Overall a lovely stay .. but we had an early morning start and were assured a Breakfast to Go would be arranged as we had paid to include Breakfast. But when we called at reception in the morning to collect , it had not been done and the person was unaware of the request.. we did say if this was not a usual service it would have been ok.. and we have made other arrangements. He did put a yogurt and some bits of fruit in a bag.

We had a wedding at 15:00 managed to check in early which allowed us to change ready for the wedding which was a bonus for us. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Had a good sleep very quiet. Also ordered room service just some sides, food was amazing. Would recommend.

Great location within easy walking distance of the city centre & parking included in the room rate, room was large, bed was comfortable & the breakfast was amazing. One thing that did spoil our stay was the noisy extractor unit outside our room which meant sleeping with the windows shut

I've always wanted to stay at the Belmont. It was a fun experience and I'd recommend it to others. The hotel is very traditional, almost old-fashioned but the service is second to none. If you're a tea drinker they will bring you fresh (non-UHT) milk and the linens and towels are brilliant quality. Yummy breakfast (one of the best field mushrooms I've ever had)

Overnight stay for evening football match
Our stay overnight at the Belmont was excellent. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee in room. Matress was new and comfortable for those who like a firm mattress. Check in was quick and we were told of breakfast times and where it would be served. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of cereals, toast and croissants. Full english breakfast and items like Eggs benedict were freshly cooked for you. Cannot fault the Belmont and staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We will return

Slightly awkward overflow parking but otherwise nice hotel. Nice very decent sized room. Felt very homely and comfy. Fan in closet for comfort which was needed. Would stay again

I was only briefly in the hotel and didn't use any services apart from sleeping in the room, so not much to say. However, everything was good, clean, etc. The only thing I would say is that the hotel refers to parking, but it is incredibly limited and this should be mentioned in the details. There was room for about 5 cars in a road barely wide enough for two large cars to pass. This should be made clear. If, like me, you are hoping to park up quickly and get out. this is important information.

Absolutely amazing Victorian Hotel, lovely spacious room with soundproof. My favourite thing was a large clean bathrooms with rains shower overhead. Excellent staff , very helpful and welcoming and smooth check-in. Highly recommended.
