Roaches and smelly towel. The TV was zoomed weird so the sides of the screen was cut off. Location is close to the base so that is good if you are visiting Ft Johnson. Ice machine only on the 1st floor and we are on the 4th. Lobby smells like dirty rug. No breakfast. The room is clean. Plenty of extra towels but they kinda smell.
Staff was very kndn and understanding, but the facility and rooms was nasty. They even changed our rooms and both of them were worse than the first ones.
Well, the overall stay was very nice. The hotel was comfortable. Had a pool unfortunately never had time to use the pool next to shopping area McDonald’s right across the street right outside the entrance to Fort Johnson Army base which is great.
Now the hotel could use a little refreshing up, but the overall hotel to me was very nice. Very quiet. The beds were very comfortable. I slept like a baby is extremely friendly unfortunately they don’t have continental breakfast at the moment but the coffee is very good which is available 24 seven comparing to hotels in the area, I will give this a solid 4 1/2 out of five, but if they were to refresh, it would definitely get a five especially the continental breakfast was reinstated. I recommend this hotel.
Still under renovation. Expedia had no information about it. Will have bkfst and should be nice when renovation completes.
All side doors no locks, Felt unsafe
The lobby doors didn’t lock. The tiles in lobby and hall ways are cracked and move under your feet. The lobby smells of mold or legionnaires disease. No breakfast available which I feel like we paid for as advertised. No coffee ever in lobby even though there was a coffee station. Our room was not cleaned on arrival. Floor didn’t look mopped. Affrin nose spray and sock from previous guest by bed. Bathroom mirror had someone else’s splashes all over it. Dollar store price tag on back of bathroom door, the size of a coffee cup not small price tag. I will not be staying at this hotel again. I will be notifying Whyndham resorts and asking for compensation for all the uncomfortable things we had to go through. Staff was pleasant and we did tip our house cleaning staff ever day to make sure our room was cleaned properly.
This hotel had a strong musty smell to it. There was no breakfast as advertised. It almost seems like this hotel is "holding on" and trying to squeeze the last few bucks out it until it falls down.

Beds were comfortable and rooms clean. Staff was friendly but the smell of mildew was so strong, especially in the lobby. Elevator broke down and didn’t work for hours. No breakfast although it was advertised as having breakfast. Shower water pressure was awful. Location to base is the only reason I stayed there but won’t go back.
Used towel was left in the bathroom. Toilet paper rolls left in the shelves (no tissue on the rolls). Should have been thrown away. And lastly, roach in the drawer—drawers between the beds. We did voice our concerns to the front desk. Said they would check with housekeeping.
We arrived at hotel in the late evening for check-in and first words from the night clerk was "We don't have breakfast" not good evening or welcome to LaQuinta. I guess that comment set the tone for our stay as it went downhill fast from there.
Here were the concerning issues with our stay:
1. Hotel security at side entrance doors is non-existent as all card readers were broken and doors were always open....everyone welcome!
2. Our first steps inside the door near the pool almost took our breath away from the pungent odor of black mold and mildew around the door frame and floor.
3. Room service was very, very poor and I'm being generous with this comment. Bed was not made, sheets not changed, damp bath towels folded and put back in place, no tissues in counter dispenser, in-room coffee maker was broken, for which I went to front desk and obtained a replacement. This effort was pointless as no new coffee packets were replenished for subsequent days of stay.
4. The area advertised to obtain after hours sundries was completely vacant. I inquired about any vending machines... answer from night clerk was a flat out.. NONE.... no apologies.
5. Pool area was padlocked. Of course the pool was filthy dirty with pool furniture sitting in the bottom.
6. Several floor tiles in hallway from front desktop the non-working elevator were broken and loose... be careful.
Expectations from my initial interactions were set exceptionally low and I must say La Quinta didn't disappoint!

H O R R I B L E!!!!!!!!!!
NO HOUSEKEEPING! Stayed for 4 days and no trash was changed, no bedding changed, no towels replaced, NO BREAKFAST, even after i spoke to Randy at the front desk personally asking to get assistance with housekeeping for the next day, no one ever assisted with cleaning the rooms on the 3rd floor. Not to mention, THE MOLDY ODOR!!! Disgusting and would NEVER recommend staying at this place EVER again in life. This caused a huge inconvenience to me and my family that travelled states to bury my military uncle for his service. HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY!!!!!
Toliet paper had mold on it, TV didn’t work when we arrived, phone didn't work, microwave didn't have a place to be plugged into, noone seviced the room while we was there we has to go ask for clean towel, coffee, and trash bags to change the trash and there was nonplace to find plastic ware we has to ask and they said they had to give it from personal stash, and no breakfast served
