Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Lobby area worn and looked dirty and dingy. Had to change rooms because of horrible smell.Furniture in room was dirty and stained. Bathroom shower had no grab bars for slippery tub and dirty around toilet. Refrigerator smelled and desk chair was low and uncomfortable. Beds a bit on the lumpy (old) side. Breakfast was either cereal, a bagel or a pancake machine that made half cooked pancakes. But, coffee was good. All in all, this is a low rate worn out hotel. Had to cancel for second day due to and emergency at home. Talked to the desk clerk the afternoon before and she said it was no problem but to wait until checkout tomorrow. Well, the next morning we checked out and a different clerk said we would still have to pay because we booked through a third party(Expedia) and that they would not allow a refund. Turned out that microtel refused the refund and Expedia ate the cost and gave us a one key credit for the FULL amount. Wyndham was horrible on the phone and kept blaming Expedia Don't believe it. I will never stay at a Wyndham hotel again unless they decide to be honest with their customers. And Microtel better upgrade as they are truly LOW end and dirty.
