Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late summer, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Both sinks were elevated to chest height and were almost impossible to use. The room fan unit was located at the back of the room rather than in the front (the side closest to the highway) so road noise all night long kept me awake.

For the price tag, I was expecting a better maintained motel/hotel. The ice machine broke when I was leaving in the morning. The vanities — wash basins and toilet — appear to be from the 60s that are installed very low.

The room was a little noisy due to the fact we faced a main highway and because the property was a bit older, the windows did little to shut outside noise out. Our room was in a hallway that looked across to utility rooms and a wall. The other window looked out back to a dirt parking area. Not much of a view at the "Lake View" lodge. However the desk clerk was very helpful and provided us with extra pillows as requested.

It was a nice property. Good view of the lake. The room was clean. The sinks are high off the ground, so awkward for short people. The same as for the a/c unit. The ice machine didn’t work. The restaurant was outstanding!! Loved the ambiance and food.

Convenient to Mono Lake. Room was dingy, restaurant was closed on Tuesdays and didn’t open for breakfast on Wednesday morning. Ice machine was broken. Very noisy AC. No view of the lake. Extremely expensive for so many disappointments. Checking in staff didn’t show much enthusiasm. The grounds are very pretty.

The grounds are always lovely. The staff is friendly. The remodeled rooms need new carpet. The lighting is dim. The bathroom sink is so high I felt like a little kid brushing my teeth. All first world problems. It is the essence of Welcome to Lee Vining: It is what it is. Uniquely charming.

Fine for a short stay
Fine for a short stay. I've stayed here before and will come back. Room was up-to-date and adequately clean. Location is close to Lee Vining's few restaurants. Like anywhere in Lee Vining, hotel is right next to fairly busy highway. Hotel parking is tight but adequate. Staff was professional if not super-friendly.

2 nigh trip
At short notice, there were not many option for a place to stay around Yosemite. So we book Lake View Lodge and we had Cottage with 1 queen bed. All Cottage does not have A/C. It is very hot for summer time. The linens are outdated, no body wash, towels are very old, should have some new ones.
