Convenience of the facilities in the room. Clean bed linen. Friendly helpful staff at reception and in the dining room. The couch in our room too low and soft for us older folk to sit on & off of without a struggle! Finding a legitimate car park was not straight forward on Friday. The hotel parking space signs need a colour code or symbol to distinguish them from all the other spaces, plus an online location plan would help. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

This hotel was a short step away form the Charles Hospital and not in the cbd as we expected it to be. However we had free parking so no problem getting around. Our room was smaller that we expected considering the amount paid but it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. If we did not have a car, however, it would not have been convenient for getting around on foot.

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay at the Mantra Charles. The rooms were quiet, clean and located in a quiet area. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the meals produced by the chef, especially at dinner!

Positive mental attitude by EVERY member of staff, meant we were truly welcomed. For elderly guests like us, the bedroom chairs were too low and too heavy . Also the capacious bathroom would benefit from a seat on which to sit whilst towelling dry.. Both needs were quickly resolved by the ever friendly staff. And the dining area : again top marks for beautiful smiles , and excellent food. However one more ergonomic niggle capable of improvement in the dining area : either lower the table height or raise the seat height. For me at only 167 cms tall I was eating at chest height, which is uncomfortable. It’s too embarrassing to ask for a cushion ! But these are but niggles to be viewed in the context of an excellent overall experience which comes back to outstanding service in a lovely, gracious building.

This hotel was centrally located with convenient (and free!) on site parking. Breakfast was delicious and delivered with the best customer service! It was ideal for our one night stay.
