4/10 Poor

The Retreat has potential and is clearly in the process of updating its rooms and amenities, which is great to see. However, there are still some issues that need attention. The hallways on the 2nd and 3rd floors have uneven flooring and gaps in the laminate, creating dips and trip hazards that could be unsafe.
Unfortunately, my stay also included a mix-up—on my second night, my room was double-booked. Another couple walked in using their key card, not realizing the room was already occupied. It was awkward and surprising for both of us, and I felt bad that the front desk couldn’t find another room for them.
To top it off, my key card was deactivated, and I had to go to the front desk to get it reactivated and confirm my room was still reserved for the last night of my stay. Meanwhile, the other couple was still trying to sort out accommodations with no success.
The night staff seemed overwhelmed, and I think additional training would help them handle situations like this more smoothly and professionally.
On a positive note, the Retreat is ideally located for hiking and the ski resort. It's only a 20 minute drive to Skye Canyon where there are restaurants, fuel & groceries.
