The overall room design is very nice and looks quite luxurious, but the bed and pillows felt more like those in a one-star hotel—very weary and uncomfortable. Also, I arrived about two hours earlier than the official check-in time. Since we had a lot of luggage, we asked if we could check in early, but were told that early check-in would require an extra $25. I didn’t really like that, but I paid it anyway because I didn’t want to carry all my luggage around while waiting.

Recommend the stay no matter the reason

Had to go to Vegas for a celebration of life family gathering. Vegas is not one of my preferred vacation spots (heat, crowds, etc.). But after staying at the Sahara I might just change my mind. Really great hotel and friendly staff. Still have family in Vegas and this will be the hotel I stay at for future visits.

Loved our stay!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our room. The only issue was the AC wasn't working properly but they sent somebody to fix it. The hotel itself is safe with plenty to do. We will definitely stay here again!

Unexpected changes

There was construction on the hotel wing we were staying at, had 2 joining rooms one king size bed and the other with 2 queen beds. Because of the construction that we were not aware of we got woken up at 8:00am with hammering noises. We let the front desk know and they told us that we would be getting 2 new rooms on a floor not affected by the noice by 2:00pm. We checked in at 2 and were told they were still working on getting them ready. We returned at 3:00pm and because they did not have joined rooms ready in that building they upgraded our rooms to the VIP building and gave us a suite for one of the rooms, a king room for the other which we requested a roll out bed to accommodate my family and I, a total of 4. The manager also gave us 4 free drinks that we used the next morning at their Starbucks. It was annoying to deal with the entire situation and loosing so much time waiting for the new rooms but the hotel staff dealt with it as best they could and we enjoyed the upgrade.
