Rio is an exceptional choice

Rio has been a favorite Vegas resort for 15 years and it’s still a fantastic choice! The atmosphere and entertainment is hard to beat!

The door on our room was open. When we arrived, we were reluctant to go in as we feared that someone was in there. Then we found out that the door did not lock, we contacted management and they told us that there were no more rooms available and there'd be no. Refunds. After about two hours of trying to find a solution, maintenance man showed up and repaired the door. I doubt very seriously. That will ever come back to this casino. We made a huge mistake.

I liked that the hotel is walking distance to the Strip. Less than 10 minutes. The pool is big and the water was deliciously warm and plenty food options, but more like finger foods. Hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken tenders, etc. Nothing hearty. What surprised me was that they don’t have a Brazilian themed restaurant. That would be amazing! Loved the KISS arcade and museum. Pretty cool and photo worthy place. What I DEFINITELY didn’t like, the hotel room didn’t have microwave, the bathtub with no safety handle bars. No USB ports to charge the electronics. The only restaurant that provides breakfast, HASH HOUSE A GO GO, provides AWFUL service. And, it’s pricey. It barely has servers. Good thing, to the rescue, it has a Starbucks and Uber eats. Why the Burrito Borracho restaurant only open in the weekends?! We went from Sunday to Friday! For a full week, we dissapeared after eating the Starbucks breakfast, and came back to sleep. Ah, also, is a shame that the pool closes at 5pm.

We stay on the old side and it was just horrible. The refrigerator barely really kept our drinks. The beds was very uncomfortable and the four days that we were there. The maid came once.

We enjoyed our stay even after several hiccups after checking in. The manager Luis helped with the issue and did an amazing job. We picked this location for the convenience, we were 5-10 minutes away from all our reserved outings. The food inside the hotel was perfect as well, everyone in my family has different taste buds so they had different options. The rooms are large but some are a bit outdated but we were in the room such a short time that we didn’t mind. The pool is a must and the shopping stores. A big plus because it’s free parking!
