This is a relatively large resort compared to its sister properties. The locals here are very lucky to have an oasis like this where they can dine, gamble, or just hang out as well or even better than any other property in Vegas. But GVR has the advantage of not being crowded, unlike resorts on the Strip, which makes it a very chill and relaxing place to spend some leisure time. The room we stayed in had a lovely view of the gorgeous pool courtyard and the room itself was nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. The only nitpicks we had were the worn out toilet seat that was ready to be replaced and a few spots that could've been cleaned better. But overall the room was a great value, especially for the price. The casino has a wide selection of slots and enough that you won't be surrounded by a crowd of players. The casino also does a very good job of smoke control as I didn't even notice any smoking odors as I walked around. Every worker I interacted with was very friendly and hospitable. In short, GVR made a great impression on me and I look forward to staying there again.

Great resort! Easy to get into, easy to get out of. Quick drive to the strip or even better, take an Uber and enjoy the ride. This was our 3rd stay this year as we travel for business and it gets better every time!

The property is nice overall, the check in was smooth and room service was quick. The room however was filthy, run down, and old. For the price you can stay in a much nicer hotel. This wasn’t worth it.

Hotel Lobby road doesn’t have signs visible so you end up at the casino side. Service was good until the next day when we woke up to our room filled with smoke smell. The next door connecting room must have been smoking. We immediately got up, packed and left the hotel. I notified cleaning crew that shrugged it off and also notified the front desk and all they did was check us out and said good bye. We had plans on having breakfast at the hotel and gambling for a bit while the kids got ready but this caused us to leave and the hotel folks didn’t seem to care. Very disappointed since we canceled another hotel as this came highly recommended by a friend. Didn’t realize we would have a connecting door and need to experience this with the kids.
