They had a $50 check in early fee which is affordable to be able to get into a room for us. The bell hops did hold our bags for a little while before we learned of the early check in. They were super kind and professional. Rooms were great. Loved being on Fremont street!

The room was not updated and the bath tub was cracking and brittle. The carpet was filthy making feet and socks dirty the beds were 2 single beds. The hotel wouldn’t it allow us to choose bed sizes until we arrived.

Been going here for 12 of the last 13 years except the covid year. Upgraded to a "corner suite" this year. First of all , one needed a mack truck to open the room door only to be greeted by a mop handle left in the room. Then the safe was locked when I went to use it. The most troubling item was the lack of hot water only in the shower, told them about 3 times, was never addressed, water was luke warm at best. I did complain at checkout, she did waive 2 nights of resort fees, I felt more could have done. room 12216

Arriving at the golden nugget on Thursday December 5, the key we were given was to an occupied room. We entered and immediately went back to the front desk to get a new room. They gave us a new room after no apologies, just some rhetoric about bad housekeepers that dont communicate. During the 4 days we were there, we were locked out of our room twice, charges on my credit card totalling well over wgat we had already paid were pending all weekend (apparently GN and expedia didnt communicate with one another so GN decided to bill my credit card directly without consent. ) This was rectified 6 days later, a pretty heavy thing to have to worry about while on vacation. We were told at checkout what out final bill would be, and i woke up this morning to another charge for something at the cadillac bar i did not approve. I have now had to file a dispute and cancel my credit card. This "resort" is clearly disorganized, and i will never stay there again. My vacation turned into one headache after another without any resolution offered by the golden nugget.

We were in room 470, the room could use a deep clean, tub needs reglaxing, shower curtain needs washing, bathroom door needs painting, carpet needs vacuuming along the baseboards, wall by the window has something red on it; hoping not blood. Overall they need to close some floors during the down times and clean. I feel that when you don’t book directly with the hotel and through third party you get sub standard rooms. We looked at the hvac system and parkade . The hotel overall is clean and staff friendly but it is hard to find places to eat later in the evening We like the location and the NFR watch party. I liked being able to get a better glass of wine at the lounge and bring it in there. Not sure what the resort fee covers as the pool is closed and you pay for everything else.
