The bathtub had cracks in it with rust stains all the way to the floor on both corners of the bathtub, it was very noisy. There was no refrigerator, and nobody bothered to let us know that we could upgrade if we wanted it. As well as we had to walk a mile from our room to the casino floor, again, if we were aware of we would have paid to upgrade to a closer room to the casino. We paid the $$65 per person wristband for New Year’s Eve out on Fremont, and it really wasn’t worth it. But if you didn’t, and you couldn’t leave your casino, next didn’t, and if we go to Vegas for New Year’s, we will go on the main strip.

Great location and comfortable bed. One of the two elevators for the parkade wasn’t working so lines of people waiting during busy times. Doors were locked on the stairs to prevent thieves from entering so no option but waiting for the one working elevator.

Go elsewhere. Awful experience

The pool was empty, no hot tub, front desk women was rude upon arrival. There was an EDM concert going on until past 1am that shook the entire room/windows all night. Starbucks was under construction so there was only 1 and it was a circus. Went to eat at a Mexican restaurant inside and it was a $25 minimum per person. All of this to be charged $50 a day for a “resort fee” without resort amenities. Bad overall. The front desk said there was no early check in unless we upgraded our rooms, which was untrue as our friends paid $20 for early check in.

I did not like the lack of human interaction checking in. Had to go to a kiosk that didnt have all information on it. They tried to double charge me for a decoration package and locked us out of our room. There was a a lack of staff even then at check out to deal with that issue.

Great location and comfy rooms.

Check in was a little tricky but our stay there was great! Room was clean and beds were comfy. I slept so well! The location next to Fremont street was perfect! Live entertainment and of course all the interesting characters out there. I can’t wait to stay here in the summer to try the water slide out!

Super fun to stay downtown but I heard The Golden Nugget was remodeled... Part of it was but Carson Tower was definitely NOT part of that. The room was extremely outdated and even dirty. Rust stains all over the bathroom and tons of visible dust. The noise is outrageous from Freemont Street on weekends. Its not just loud...you can feel your entire room and body vibrate from the base. Im sure this is true in every hotel down there, so its not a dig, just a general warning. Ear plugs wont do a thing. Overall, super fun and convenient but will not be staying in the rooms under that condition again. Another general note, that smoke everywhere is awful so pack your allergy meds or stay on the strip where ventilation is better.

A lot of changes since my last 2 stays

The cost of the minimum on black jack has gone up in addition several of the bj tables require an $2 charge either to spin the wheel with a BJ or something else. Also instead of BJ paying double your bet now 5/6. There wasn’t any musical acts where the lounges used be, Enjoy a drink while listening to the music. We did see 2 acts one at G.N. The other at the 4 Queens.

GN...Property itself was nice overall...our room was very comfortable but the bathroom was a bit dated...shower & tub where a b tad confining, meh...no fan but clean nonetheless. This was our first stay in the Freemont district...definitively lively, loud and entertaining...but most impressive for me was the huge bright LED display canopy....you'd lose track of time often looking out any windows. My only slight issue ...there is very little control of who enters the property because of all the access points to hotel or casino from Freemont or surrounding area. We had folks approach us for money food...cigarettes etc...we helped out at times...although something we didn't expect inside the casino floor[outdoors absolutely]...overall it certainly was a fun experience and I'd like to point out our diner at the Chart House was delicious & most memorable of all the restaurants we've eaten during 5 stays in LV.
