We enjoyed our stay at Margaritaville, but due to the hotel's disregard for vehicle safety, we will not be returning. My 2022 car, that I have owned for two years without issues or damage was damaged in the valet’s care over one night. The first two nights we self-parked. We didn’t get so lucky with the limited parking spots on the last night. On this night, my vehicle was damaged, with the gas door panel broken off and found in the stall where it was parked by the staff. This sort of damage does not happen without negligence or force, and I have family members who are car technicians and engineers who confirmed this, including the dealership. Unfortunately, the hotel’s insurance gave me a story about how it was my car’s fault and that it was a “known issue” with my particular make and model, so they will not assume responsibility for it. The valet supervisor who attended us the day of the incident warned us that this would be the narrative the insurance reps tell. Because of this, it ruined our experience and view on the safety of the property. If we can’t self park because there are only 10 spots on the lot, at least make the valet parking more safe and responsible! We do not recommend this property specifically for the issue with parking and lack of care on the valet’s part. If you don’t bring a vehicle to the property then you’ll probably be fine.
