A great Holiday Inn with a nice breakfast layout! However, the prices were high, but that’s something the area suffers from on the weekends.

This is NOT holiday Inn

It did not meet my expectation on a Holiday Inn though the overall experience was not too bad. It started with an impatient phone call when I confirm my arrival time. Some of them are unwilling to explain anything even for a second time. But some agents are really nice. Compared to those hotels below $100, the room is definitely cleaner. However it is still a bit old. The air conditioner begin to make a very loud noise like electric drill 5am in the morning. The hair dryer has a smell of burned rust. And the room’s car key is very easy to degauss. If on the same budget for my next trip, I’ll probably NOT choose it again.

The kitchen ladies were sweethearts. Did not get the name of the receptionist that checked us in but she was so helpful and very nice. Overall we loved everything. Definitely coming back here.

Great location to Heavenly Ski Resort and Tahoe Village! You can walk to shops, restaurants, and gondola. It’s only a few miles from California Heavenly parking lot. Free hot breakfast before skiing was a plus. Our room was updated and clean. Perfect for our ski trip to Tahoe.

Noisy buzz sound outside front window

I paid extra to be in a larger room and there was loud noise outside the room during the evening. At first, we thought it was the heater but was able to eliminate that when we turn it off. I called the front desk told them about it, he said they he had no idea what the problem was. I asked if they could send someone up. After waiting about an hour, they sent someone up and he determined it was the light outside our window. Noise was very loud! The gentleman that came up to check it out said he would tell the front desk to move us to another room. Waiting & waiting for phone call from front desk to get back to me, no communication! I had to call after about 45 minutes, finally we were able to switch rooms at about 9:30-10:00 pm (in our pajamas) in the cold (Tahoe). Had to make several trips to carry skis, boots , luggage to new room on lower floor after I had to walk back to get new key. It was quite an inconvenience. When I asked the night front desk employee, how do we get compensation for the inconvenience, his answer was "Not Me" I think we deserve some kind of rebate / compensation. At least the difference between a standard room & the upgraded larger room. Also, Holiday Inn Express advertises a hot tub. This is the 2nd time in a row that hot tube wasn't unavailable. Thank you.
