Second time staying at the Black Bear Lodge. The room I rented had it all- laundry, full kitchen, comfortable bed and 2 fireplaces.

Quiet getaway

This was our second stay with Black Bear lodge. We really enjoy it. It is so quiet and relaxing. We usually end up taking an afternoon nap with the fireplace on or making a cup of tea and reading on the patio or by the fireplace under the stairs. Staff is helpful and friendly and was able to get us a 10% discount to Riva Grill! Recommend this place!

Amazing location & perfect for our anniversary!

It’s too cold outside to be THIS cozy inside! My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary over NYE in room 2. It was lovely and we hope to come back! The hot tub was great, and the bus stop to the slopes is RIGHT outside. It’s honestly the perfect location. Walking distance to the lake and great food (highly recommended the sushi happy hour around the corner), only 1 bus stop away from California lodge ski Lyft, and free parking. There was a fireplace in the room, we had access to a fridge and microwave, and there is a bar inside the lobby! They have a ton of games and an awesome DVD collection. Best hotel we’ve honestly stayed in. Also everyone was super nice and helpful! The only thing that could have made the stay better was if there was another mirror in our room and if the WiFi was faster.

Very cozy and comfortable rooms. Lobby also had great aesthetics. We sat at the big chairs and couches by the fireplace and enjoyed a drink(first drink was on the house too). Fireplace inside the room creates warm atmosphere in the room. Staff was super friendly, with the proper helpful and relaxed attitude. My wife said it felt like a spa. It did indeed, very relaxing. Very clean rooms and areas too.
