Nice new hotel that tries to be cutting edge but leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to layout of the property and the rooms. Front desk staff actually turned us off with the lack of personality and handling of customers. Placing the room tv on the wall to the side of the bed - really!

My son and I decided to do a road trip like we did when he was young. We had a wonderful time at the hotel and in Lake Placid. We stayed 3 nights and hiked, kayaked, and went to the movies. The hotel restaurant is very good. The room had a fridge and microwave but we wished we brought a few utensils and a cutting board to make our Brie and baguette sandwiches for hiking ; )
