I chose this hotel because from the pictures it looked like a nice modern hotel and was disappointed to discover our room was in a completely different building that felt like an old motel. It was cold and the hearing unit was very loud and made it difficult to sleep. The bathroom was nice though.

Review of Main Building -- Great Location

Two night winter get-away. The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to restaurants and bars. It's right on the lake and main Lake George strip. The main hotel is clean and the staff were excellent including the restaurant/bar staff. A few minor quibbles include adding some technology updates in the rooms including USB and/or outlets near the beds. The suites could also benefit from a second TV in the sitting area. The mountain view side actually overlooks the parking lot. Overall, would definitely stay at this location and be sure to do the tour of the adjacent Fort William Henry--it has a lot of history.

Best hotel

The service was incredible. The room we stayed in was outstanding. Everything is within walking distance of the hotel. John and Christy at the front desk were friendly, personable, and kind. Mai, the housekeeper did a great job! We had dinner at the restaurant and our server Taylor was very efficient and kind. Food during breakfast and dinner was excellent! This hotel is the best place to go when you’re visiting lake George, due to the convenience, cleanliness and their hotel staff. We love staying here and will be back next winter. Thank you for always exceeding our expectations!!

This is the best place to stay in Lake George beautiful clean can’t say enough good things about this location and the dining restaurant was phenomenal. The chef was outstanding. They are lucky to have him.

We love staying at the FW Henry GH. The rooms are comfortable, clean and roomy. The staff is the best and most accommodating. The food in the white Lion dining hall is great. Hotel bar and convenient close walk to the action. Checks all of the boxes!

Lake George is truly a special place for me. I’ve been coming up to lake George for the last 10 years and being able to now share this experience with my mom means everything to me. I love staying at fort William. It is super confident and in between everything we enjoy doing. My family and I always feel safe and the staff are extremely pleasant. The views of the mountain are beautiful whether it’s full of snow or leaves. And who can forget that beautiful view of the lake? Can’t wait to be back in the spring/summer.
