The ocean view room offered a beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains. The location was perfect. Right on the beach, Maui Brewing Co on site and a short walk to Whaler’s village which we frequented for breakfast, snacks and convenience items.

The front staff didn't seem to be enjoying their jobs, makes one wonder about management. The housekeeping staff were the nicest and most pleasant. First time, after many stays in Maui, to see so many bugs in the room.

Good overall beach location and proximity to Whalers Village. Outdoor showers were broken, made it hard to rinse off sand. At check-in we learned there was a hula contest. This made the property too busy for us and the food trucks and vendor fair made it hard to enjoy our ocean view at sunset and evening.

I stayed a week at OUTRIGGER Kaanapali Beach Resort. A beautiful beach, walking distance from one of most popular shopping mall, very friendly staffs. Culture activities are great and I almost cry at farewell ceremony. The food, music and view of Maui brewing company is wonderful... Highly recommend if you visit Maui.

Breakfast could have had more variety. The landscaping could be more impressive. It would have been nice to see more cultural activities as well as cultural food. The pool is basic could use a jaccuzzi. Room service would be nice.

I traveled to Maui for the first time in October 2024. I was looking for a time to relax and unwind. I found a peaceful, welcoming, and beautiful hotel. The property was stunning, green lush gardens, well-maintained rooms and amenities. The entire staff were kind and friendly. I enjoyed the goodbye ceremony and my take home lei. I recommend the Outrigger Kaanapali to families and friends looking for a relaxing time in Maui.

We have been enjoying this property since 1976 and will continue to do so in the future. If you want the full resort experience, this is not your choice. But yet there is still a resort charge. We were told by staff member that changes were in the works now that Outrigger took over. Really enjoyed our recently renovated room. Where is the microwave? Love the quiet relaxed environment.
