The room was clean and spacious. The doors closed loudly and I could hear everything in the next room. Tried to return room keys to checkout, but no one was at the desk (about 9:30 am).
The concept for this motel is unique. They are not staffed overnight. Late checkins are accommodated via lock box. There is no elevator, so be ready to lug bags up a flight of stairs. Worst of all, it has a separate bedroom but NO DOOR!!! The space is useless without a door. And, there is plenty of room to place a door. I hope they retrofit the rooms with a door.
It’s too bad because otherwise this place is pretty decent and a good value. BUT, they have a big housekeeping problem. They didn’t change the sheets from the last people that stayed there. I was exhausted, and it was too late to do anything about it - especially because they only have an emergency contact after early evening. I pulled back the sheets, and there was body hair and other evidence of them just making the bed back up instead of changing the sheets. And it smelled like the last guy’s nasty AXE body spray. I was appalled. It takes a real jerk to just remake the bed when the job is to give you clean sheets. Seems like a violation of basic trust and presumption in hotel service. Of course, I also noticed the towel I used was dirty too, AFTER I used it. The shower curtain was a bit gross too. It’s too bad. Otherwise I liked this place, but I am absolutely disgusted with this lazy “housekeeping”. I absolutely cannot recommend this place.
Check in was super simple and the attendant was friendly. Having a true sitting area in the room was wonderful. It’s only has 2 floors so not having an elevator was not a big deal for us. It took the water in the shower a few minutes to warm up to the hotness that I like it. It’s a completely cashless facility. The only real negative is that there is a $250 deposit that is not mentioned until after you book your room. Yes, you get your money back but it would have been nice to know up front.
I stayed in room 219 and the pull out sofa bed had old food in the sheets and bedbugs. The bedroom had fleas and old pieces of candy under the beds. The front desk staff leave at 7:00pm and there’s no one or no emergency number to call in case of any issues or concerns. I was there for four nights and was told housekeeping only cleans the rooms for seven or more nights stay. There was always a group of male works hanging outside in the parking area being inappropriate. Definitely won’t recommend anyone to stay at this establishment.
