The property is well maintained. The people are very friendly and welcoming and the views can't be beat. Come prepared. There are no stores near by. Nearest shopping is 25 minutes away, in Forks.
This property was spectacular! You couldn’t get any closer to the ocean unless you were on a floatie! The staff is very welcoming. Room was clean and fresh. There is a coffee stand on the property for a morning coffee run. There is a restaurant in La Push and it was good but if you want more choices, Forks is not too far away. All in all, it did not disappoint!!
Cabin was great for the price - loved the view and proximity to the ocean - saw baby gray whales my first night. Would have been great to have wireless in the cabin but grateful to have it near the office.
I'd stay here again though probably in one of the larger cabins.
I love the location of this property, you are literally right on the beach so you can hear the waves from your room. The beach is so beautiful, and we saw whales right from our room.
It was great spot to sit and watch the whales for two days. Dining options are limited in the area unless you like burgers. The A Frames are the only ones without a kitchen or shower. The other cabins and rooms are nicely equipped. Great views and walking trails. The fire pits are great to sit around. We had a toilet that ran all weekend. We told the office when we checked in but nothing happened. Reminded them again at check out. The staff is friendly.
Cannot say enough about the magical beauty of this place! I’ve visited many times and am amazed by the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty every time.
The room temperature was very uncomfortable. Could not sleep. Thermostat must be broken. Count not cool room down. The room next to us was literally up all night. Will be asking for my money back
Loved the walkable beach and the quietness of the property. We were there mid-wk in March- hence very peacfull. I could see it getting crowded and much less peacful during high season, weekends and summer. If you want to unplug- this is the place- emergency calls only-no internet/data at all. We stayed in the Thunderbird king room. It was very nice and simple and very clean- the kitchenette had everything we needed. We were on the 2nd floor in the middle and had an excellent view of the ocean. Easy parking in front but we did have to lig our heavy suitcases up a flight of steps and make a couple of trips-but wasnt to bad. But, dont pack more thatn you can carry. 3 star's for service b/c the front sesk gal had absolutely no communication skills-but she did get the job done. We booked on Expedia and when we checked in- she told us we booked 2 rooms. I told her i did not and showed her my reciept and then she was quiet looked at her computer for several minutes and what felt like eternity w/o saying a word -i told her I am not paying for 2 rooms and she never said another word about it. Handed us our parking pass and showed us where to park. Another bummer is- its extremely pricey for what you get- there are no amenities and it was $280 tax for the King kitchenette-so we only stayed one night. Also, Bring food- there is only 1 restaurant in the area and it was closed. There was a hamburger food truck and other than than that, youll need to drive back to Forks if you want to eat
This was such a beautiful campus! Right on the beach with a spectacular view! The staff were very nice. The room was clean and looked really nice. The only complaint I have is that the bed was not comfortable and the pillows were too big. I was not able to sleep at all the night I was there. I loved the store they had at the office and also how walkable the town was.
