The rooms were beautiful, clean and quite spacious compared to other hotel rooms. Liked that they had two shower heads, one that could be lowered to shower kids. We were on second floor and there was some road noise but I didn’t find it bad at all. The breakfast was good, there were lots of options. The downside was that the pool was freezing cold. It says it’s heated but it sure wasn’t anywhere near as warm as the other holiday inn we stayed at the night prior. The hot tub was wonderful but tiny, luckily we were the only ones there. Overall a good stay, and I’d stay here again.

Only stayed one night, would have liked to have stayed more. It’s such a stunning area. Staff member gave us a room upgrade and great recommendation for dinner, the Promiscuous Fork which was about a 3 min walk. Family enjoyed the hot tub and the included breakfast was good. Easy parking as well.

Exceptional on all fronts

Beautiful, spacious room. The entire facility was immaculate with lovely areas to relax. Great breakfast. Far exceeded expectations and we'll almost certainly be back.

Hotel grounds are well kept with a beautiful pool and small jacuzzi. The rooms need some extra love, our room had a clogged shower and some mold along the window sills. Thankfully the staff responded quickly to the clogged shower and it was not a problem the rest of our trip. The best part of this property is its proximity to the beach, a short walk to the beach with a few good dining options nearby. I forgot to mention they have free breakfast buffet.

So grateful for this place

This place was such a comfort to us during the LA fires. It’s charming, cute, and comfy in a perfect location close to the beach, with the nicest staff imaginable. We were so grateful to have such a safe place to land in a hard time, and can’t wait to go back under better circumstances! Also they have a real hot breakfast daily and lovely outdoor spaces!

I felt like I was at a resort! This Holiday Inn Express was perfect for my family and 3 small dogs! Absolutely loved it! The rooms were big and the breakfast was delicious! Totally could walk for shopping and dining and of course to get to the beautiful La Jolla Beaches! A 5 Star from my family for sure!
