Lost Iguana and their staff were truly magical. I cannot say enough good things about the property and the service. My only regret is that we didn’t receive notice that the pool/bar would be closed during our stay.

The staff at the Lost Iguana, especially Samir, were amazing: helpful, friendly, professional and very kind. The pool area is very nicely kept and it was great to have the bar right there. The food was great and we loved the views from the room. Everything was clean and it was a great experience overall!

This property was beautiful but definitely a bit further from anything. No shops or food is walk able. One restaurant on site was decent but very expensive. Pools were nice, one heated and one not. Trail around the property was super cool but had a lot of random inclines. Getting TO the trail up the big driveway started it off tough. We had ants in our room right away and they seemed to come from the beautiful flowers that were placed in our room. Couldn’t leave a single snack around because ants would come very quick. You’re in the middle of all the nature and an amazing volcano view but keep in mind you’ll want a vehicle to get around or just stay put. Mistico was ten mins up the road, the hotel offers a round trip shuttle so book through them!

We enjoyed very much the resort, the view of the volcano was spectacular! The staff were all friendly and helpful. For sure rent a car in La fortuna because transportation is expensive. Enjoyed the tours, many fun activities to do!

Really enjoyed our experience at this hotel. You feel like you are staying in the rainforest but with a clean and modern room and a great restaurant on site. Lots of wildlife on the property, volcano views from the balcony. Service, wifi, pools were all great as well. Was our favourite hotel from our trip where we stayed at 3 different places. Short drive to activities nearby as well. Not much walkable though so you'd benefit from having your own car if you stay here.

What a gorgeous property! There is a warm pool and regular pool with a swim up bar. Everything is surrounded by lush, beautiful rain forest. We saw so many different critters. Food was good and easily available if we didn't feel like driving back into La Fortuna. Would definitely stay there again.

Every room has view of Arenal Volcano. The evening we arrived our balcony looked out upon an incredible rain forest, we had no idea until the next morning and the clouds parted and there was the volcano. The staff pick you up for meals or the pool in a golf cart. This hotel was the highlight of our trip.

This place is heaven! We had beautiful views of Arenal from our balcony and saw so many animals around the property. Everything is stunning. The heated pool is a big plus, as well as the nature trail which we took every day. The hotel is very close to Mistico hanging bridges. Although a bit far from La Fortuna, it’s absolutely worth staying in this peaceful escape.

Absolutely breathtaking property. Right in the middle of the rainforest. Very secluded resort, although it is literally next door to the Mistico hanging bridges. But other restaurants and towns are a 20 min drive. Warm pool was perfect. Food was great. Hiking trails were very nice.
