The staff was amazing! They had a culture of service and exceeding expectations. When checking in, I wandered over to the concierge desk jokingly stating that “I wanted to see a sloth” The young lady suggested that they were most active in the morning by the main pool. Shortly after checking into our room I received a call from the same lady saying they know where there is one and offered to pick us up in the room and take us there. They did just that. We are extremely happy we chose this hotel for our 5day family stay (2 yo and 2.5mo old). The views were amazing anywhere on the grounds, nearby to all the attractions and La Fortuna, AMAZING attentive staff all around, delicious breakfast everyday, security 24/7, and the most beautiful, clean rooms. The only recommendation I would offer is to add more covered areas in the pool for when it rains hard to protect your items/cover. But still 5 stars!! The service is like no other resort we have stayed and they really care about the guests here. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed and “at home away from home”. We did not try the Spa services. Will definitely stay here again when we come to Costa Rica!!

We really enjoyed the view of the volcano from our room. Both hot springs areas were amazing and the staff were so friendly. They even put on our football game from back home when we asked. The food was pretty good, especially the sushi! They made our honeymoon a special experience.

We stayed three nights as a base for Arunel & the surrounding area. The whole resort was wonderful. The views from our room across to the volcano were beautiful, & we were surrounded by tropical plants & hummingbirds. The rooms were luxurious with aircon & were kept fantastically clean. We loved the pools and hot springs, & the food in both the restaurant & pool bar (the two places were ate) was wonderful.

This resort exceeded my expectations—Expedia photos don’t do it justice. It’s beautiful, quiet, and perfect for both relaxation and adventure. The only minor issue I had was the large slices of tomato on the pizza, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, the property was clean and well-maintained, the food was delicious (definitely try the coconut chicken!), the staff was attentive, and the pools were amazing.
