The property and service was amazing. The pool area was quiet and very spacious. The breakfast was lovely. The rooms are older and dated, but very clean and we would definitely stay again! Nice spot indeed!

Gated property with staff available from 7am to 9pm daily. Very close to Fortuna and all of it's restaurants and shopping. Beautiful grounds and a breathtaking view of the volcano from the pool. Breakfast provided was buffet style and delicious with options from eggs and sausage to fruit and cereal. Some traffic noise and bars on the windows and doors. But we felt safe and comfortable here. Housekeeping daily, all of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely grounds and very friendly and professional staff. The rooms were modest and sound proofing was not great... The included breakfast was a bit sad. How can fruit not be fresh in Costa Rica same with watery coffee. Pool was nice and a good temp and all in the place was very we kept

We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. Our room was clean and comfortable and spacious. The grounds are gorgeously landscaped with lots of bird watching opportunities. Great pool. Delicious breakfasts. Friendly and helpful staff. 5 minute walk into town for shops and restaurants. Super convenient spot for various day trips.

this property was really walkable to all the good restaurants/ coffee shops. also I was traveling solo as a female and Marcos, Vanessa and the rest of the crew were so helpful anytime I needed anything. I felt very safe walking to the property and had no issues getting a taxi if I needed one at any time of the day.

The property is beautiful with lots of flowers palm trees and birds. I would love to come back and spend a week here. Wonderful place and la Fortuna is a place with lots of outdoor activities. Thank you Marcus for making our stay a great experience!

Best customer service I’ve EVER had!!!

This is the place you need to book, no questions asked. Not only was the property beautiful…the free breakfast was amazing…the location is perfect (close enough to walk to town, not so close that you get caught in the hustle and bustle of tourism)… but the manager on-site, Adriana, went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me as a female solo traveler. I experienced a huge travel emergency and she was my guardian angel! She even ordered me a pizza on her own dime because I hadn’t eaten all day after the craziest travel day of my life. I am eternally grateful to her kindness and hospitality. I extended my stay an extra night and booked my excursions through her (she has connections and a comprehensive document to every tour you’d ever want to take). I even got to accomplish my dream of seeing Rio Celeste and had a great shuttle experience back to the Liberia airport which only cost about $60 shared. I highly recommend this property for solo travelers, families, and friend trips alike.

La Fortuna Arenal visit

I have a lovely stay at this hotel. The property grounds is magnificent. The birds and other wildlife that visit was a bonus! Very close to downtown walking distance to everything. The family own soda 5 ish minutes away is a must try! El salto rope is about 10 minutes away and there’s a road side popsicle, man, reminds me of every Caribbean country/island I’ve been too. 💕 The volcano was constantly covered by clouds which was disappointing as I wanted to see the peak of it from the view at the entrance. Will revisit the area in the future. Check in and out was a breeze. I had a flight delay which turned into a cancellation put a damper on my plans but I was able to contact the hotel to change dates. I also extended my trip in the area.

The stay was very good. We had visited this property in 2014 and now ten years later. The only thing we would recommend is getting faster internet as it was not always very good and getting the. television channels fixed. Besides that, the staff was very nice and everyone was kind. Thank you for making our vacation pleasant.
