Tunnel connects hotel to Kyoto station which is a dream after a long day of travel. 7/11 and a money exchange atm is right next door which we very handy. Rooms are a good size as are bathrooms. Nice clean space to stay with a lovely view of the city and mountains if you’re room is high enough.

This hotel is closed to the train station. Shopping and eating can all be done at the shops in the train station. It is very convenient. Hotel staff are wonderful and polite. It was a great experience.

On first appearance, the hotel looked a tad old but it’s really impressive once you go in. The room was small but the restaurant was fantastic. The best thing about its location is, if you are arriving by train, it’s walkable even if you have good amount of luggage. The Kyoto Avanti shopping centre is adjoining with a Big Mac which makes it even attractive. Besides, the bus tour of Kyoto started from the Tully’s coffee located at Avanti, so just a few steps from the hotel. The staff is also very helpful.
