It was fine. Price Ok - Convenient area.
Older hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. I didn’t really get a great vibe walking into the hotel. It wasn’t bad, but it’s a depressing empty lobby area. Kids behind the counter didn’t really seem to be thrilled. Beds are fine, and comfortable. The staff wasn’t overly friendly or attentive. Convenient location.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room and bathroom was spacious, which is something we didn’t have in our two other hotels in Japan. The location was really nice with a 7-11 right below and several food places within a 2min walk. Bus stops are also right in front of the hotel, which was convenient. The subway stations were a little further (8min walk), but really not that far at all and you could hop on a bus to get back to the hotel if you didn’t want to walk. If you’re staying in Kyoto I highly recommend this hotel!

Clean, efficient hotel in a great area - close to Gion, Nishiki Market and a quick train ride from Kyoto station. It was a great place to stay while exploring Kyoto for a few days. Check in was quick and easy, the staff were lovely and helpful. Luggage forwarding was available and the front desk staff took care of everything.Toiletries were available in the lobby to take to the room and there was complimentary ice cream snacks. The room was a typical Japan hotel size, small but with everything needed including a small fridge. Sound carried well from room to room so if you are a light sleeper you may want to use earplugs, it wasn’t too bad though. Would recommend a stay here, the surrounding area had tons of food and shop options and it’s very close to a train station for getting around easily.

GREAT stay and a fantastic location!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Gran Ms Kyoto! The room was comfortable, clean, and well-designed, with a staff that was extremely friendly and helpful. They had a very relaxing lobby and even offered free ice cream treats every day. We loved the location and having so many delicious food and shopping options within close walking distance. They also have laundry facilities which was very much needed. If we are ever in Kyoto again, I will choose this hotel. I will also be highly recommending it to any friends traveling.
