Stayed there for a week. Kyoto is just amazing and the location was perfect for us visiting as a family. The only hiccup we had was bad advice from staff when trying to make collect calls for travel rearrangements due to a typhoon. We followed the procedure and they ended up charging us at a high rate although we made collect calls. Explaining the situation to the staff in charge did not help and was quite rude insisting that the hotel was not making collect calls. It was likely a communication breakdown. Still enjoyed the comfort, convenience, location, and overall experience.

The Cross hotel is a great hotel with a great location in Kyoto. Rooms are spacious. Hotel is clean and staff was wonderful! We stayed for 3 days during our trip to Japan and would stay again!

What a fantastic stay. Hotel was super clean and conveniently located near the Pontosho Alley restaurant street and easy (less than 10 minute) walk to the Gion Historical area and Nishiki food market. Beds were very comfortable but only one thin pillow was provided by the hotel.

Large comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. In a good location, walking distance to lots of attractions and good food places close by. The staff were incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they were so kind and very helpful with any request we had. We highly recommend for any stay in Kyoto!

Our stay at Cross Hotel Kyoto was amazing! it was such a great location - for restaurants, shopping and bars. You do need to take a taxi to see the sights or to the train station but it's the perfect location to come back to after you are done with any sightseeing you wish to do. Mostly everything you would like to do other than that is either walking distance or a short cab ride away! Staff was also very helpful - i left something in my room and it was shipped to our next hotel in Tokyo in under two days!

A fine hotel in a great location
The hotel is located in a very convenient area next to streets full of restaurants and shoping stores, and next to the river which is nice to walk by. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The lobby is comfortable and the rooms are spaceous and comfortable

This property was superb - I highly recommend a stay here. I modern, clean hotel with great staff and facilities and a very good breakfast buffet. It is conveniently located within walking distance of Nishiki Market and the surrounding area - with a huge array of shops and restaurants to choose from. You can also walk to Kyoto Gyoen National Gardens, and just to the east of the hotel is a convenient walk to the river, and also the narrow alleyway of bars and restaurants that is a must see that runs parallel to the river. The hotel itself is quiet, however, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Great hotel!

The Cross Hotel was centrally located. The hotel is situated between 2 subway stations; and within a 10 min walk from both of them. The Cross hotel was also a 15 min walk to Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, Nijo Castle, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and the Nishiki Market. My husband and I also visited several jazz kissas (bars) in Kyoto which were within walking distances to the Cross hotel. The Cross Hotel is centrally located, convenient, and immaculate.
