We traveled as a family with young kiddos (6 and 4 yo.) This hotel exceeded my expectations!!! Beautiful hotel and rooms, comfy beds. Hotel location is excellent- many tasty eateries right across the street, and nearby. 5 minute walk to the Kamo river, where we spent a lot of time with our kids. We also found a small park nearby. I loved that we were close to the shopping/restaurants but not stuck in the crowds. The hotel felt like a little oasis in busy Kyoto city. There's no onsite laundry facilities, but the staff helped us locate a coin laundry 3 minutes away.
