Great Location...

This is a very nice hotel with one exception. Like many things in Japan, corporate identity and groupism takes precedence over individualism. We asked for the AC to be turned on in our room and the hotel did it for a time. Then, they turned it off and our room got hot. We eventually turned off the heater and opened the window. The saying is true - 出る杭は打たれる.

We stayed here for 2 nights, the location itself was convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was easy and convenient. One thing I will say is, the elevators were always crowded AND the hallways felt very sturdy as the air was too hot for the temperature. I did like that they hold your luggage after you check out so you can continue exploring and you can return later for them.

Not being able to control the room temperature was a nightmare, we got no sleep as it was entirely too hot. Also allowing people to smoke right in front of the hotel entrance is disgusting and not a way you want to enter or leave the building.

Clean hotel. Looked new. If not new still looked new. I liked the ability to store luggage under the bed. Easy area to navigate. Not much in nightlife though, if you’re into that. Great for kicking off day trips due to location of hotel to station

Very close the Kyoto station. Can walk to many train and bus locations easily. Many food and drink options in the immediate area and temples in walkable distances. Business hotel so no views or large spaces, but you get what you pay for.
