Quite run down, but is in a quiet area. Good for solo travelers or on a tight budget, I picked it as it was the only thing available last minute. It does the job but APA is bigger and nicer than this

The pillows are filled with packing peanuts. Quite possibly the least comfortable pillow ive even come across. The restaurant is nice!
It’s a nice hotel, but there are a couple of things that they could improve!
The location is close to the tram so I had no issues whatsoever. Staff was very nice and helpful and it’s nice not to do a check out (you have a code, no keys). On the first floor there’s an area where you can take some useful stuff like a toothbrush, a bar open at specific times and a restaurant. The restaurant is really high quality and I strongly recommend you try its local cuisine menu!
On the second floor you have some rooms and additional services:
- coin laundry and water refill station (super useful!)
- onsen (wonderful!)
- smoking area (unfortunately. The smell was often in the corridor, disgusting! Not what I want after the onsen)
I’d change that, the fact that in certain hours there’s nobody at reception and the fact that they give you a ugly pj instead of yukata (come on!)
The room is very very small. Is about 15mins walking to Kumamoto Station, or to shopping area downtown, but tram and bus is just outside. Love the open bar from 6pm to 9pm, as well as the free drinks from the vending machine in the morning. The breakfast was acceptable too. Thank for you the wonderful stay. Oh and I heard that 2 of the dryer was not working. So my husband had to wait a while to dry our clothes.
Hotel is under renovation. Need to take a tram with a 4 stop ride then arrives city center. One of the hotel facilities have onsen but we don’t have time to enjoy due to arrived late. Also close to lift lobby have pillows for all hotel guests to choose their favorite one. Overall good.

The outside of the hotel is under renovation. The room is too small, not enough space for putting suitcases!
The breakfasts of hotel is great. Many Variety and changed every day. Free both hot and cold drink through vending machine. Parking fee ¥550 per day . Free onsen for guest.
Simple, comfortable and great for a safe, cost friendly place to stay whilst moving about.
Within walking distance to the centre of town and only 2 minutes walk to a tram stop that will take you to all of the attractions
The Onsen was enjoyable but we had a twin room which even by Japanese standards was ridiculously small. Very little storage space for clothes and nowhere to put the suitcases. Expensive for what it is.
Relaxing, clean and comfortable! Bunk bed was ideal for staying with friends. Loved the onsen which is conveniently open all night! Good Japanese buffet breakfast and friendly service too.
Location is a little far from city centre but fine if you don’t mind the 15 minute walk.
