Positives: staff is very friendly and try really hard to deliver customer service. The hotel rooms look nice. Negatives: for a hotel that is relatively new, the wear and tear on fixtures and floors is more than I expected. The washroom faucet water pressure is quite weak, but I’m not sure if that’s on purpose as a eco feature. The waiters at the restaurant are nice and made useful recommendations, but need more training. The restaurant is a buffet for half the week so maybe they were not familiar with the service process for a la carte ordering.

The hotel is a small distance away from Pavilion mall so traffic is much better. The hotel gives a very posh feeling but the toilet couldn’t be cleaner so there were black spots of molds.

The EQ Kuala Lumpur ROCKS! What an amazing experience. Prior to our arrival, Sarvin, the Concierge, had arranged for us transport to and from the airport. We were treated with white gloves during our stay. Irwan Yusof, Joslynn Choi and Sharifah Nor Edalyna were in constant contact with us prior to and after our stay. Thank you ALL for your special attention to detail! I can’t say enough about the amenities! Situated close to the Petronas Twin Towers, we had the room with a view! I have to mention the bountiful buffet breakfast to die for…that was a view in itself! The Sky Bar and the Sabayon restaurant...Both are WORLD CLASS! The hotel is so beautiful and even has amenities for weddings and corporate events. It has an amazing spa and gym, to boot! Will definitely be back the next time we visit KL! Thanks to EVERYONE for the Royal Treatment!!!

The hotel is beautiful. The service was impeccable but there was no champagne or sparkling wine in the Club Lounge. No rose available in the Blue Sky bar. The food in the blue sky bar was less than favourable unfortunately.

There was great shopping nearby, but it was about 1km away, and a map is needed. I would suggest using the e-bikes, traffic is usually congested, and the streets will send you in circles. The staff is great, the hotel is in excellent condition. If you stay long, buy the breakfast daily instead of everyday. Its good, but its nice to have options. You have to request room service ice, which is free, and the room service menu is not high priced. You cannot get a bottle or wine opener from the hotel, but don't pack one in your carry on bag either. lol! The TV menu was limited. Some good new movies, not rotated well. Some very old "news" stories for some reason. BBC news and Al-Jezeera were the only international live channels (sky news does not count, lol) I developed a fondness for CNBC somehow. Overall, it was a fine stay that could have been a little better.

I got the room facing a vacant & tall building which is blocking the view and a bit creepy at night, I had to keep my curtain covering the window all the time. No hot water due to regular maintenance for the first midnight i stayed in, the staff didnt brief me during checkin. Nearly 15 mins walk to key touristy spot.

The hotel was excellent, clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food was delicious and had a large variety. A special mention to Aslina who was excellent and really made a difference to our experience. Will definitely be retuning to the EQ!
