This property was wonderful. The staff was pleasant. Definitely rent a truck to travel the island. The roads are mostly dirt and rough. Room was clean. Only negative was learning the lighting and electrical stuff. But it is a Dutch Island after all. We will be returning. One week is not enough.
Perfect stay in Bonaire. The apartment look just like the pictures. Great ac. Near restaurant, 5min drive from airport. Can walk to the beach. Perfect stay Bonaire.
Spent 5 days here, really like the property. We rented the 3 bedroom Villa with a private pool. All the rooms were clean. Bed linens were immaculate. Staff gave us no issues. Only issue we had was the pool needing to be reshocked half way through our stay. And they don't offer small towels to bathe with (which is common so no big deal). I live in Texas so I like to BBQ. We had a stone open grill and Weber kettle at our Villa. We rented cars through the property that was a great price!!!. Some of the cars are stick shift, luckily I knew how to drive one. I will miss this place!
Great accommodations. Had problems with outside fans. We reported to the front desk, but it never was fixed. Had drinking water supply issue. Maintenance guy came to fixed , but it stop working again in couple hours. Had Big internet problem, we were told that it not hotel related, internet cable damage during construction work in downtown.
Wonderful place to stay- had a 3 bedroom ocean view. Quiet, spacious, clean and great location. You will need to rent a car. Wanna dive dive shop was also amazing and located right on property. Ac was broken in one bedroom. Unfortunately it was Sunday, so the company that fixed it was closed but it was replaced first thing Monday!
We wish we had rented a villa instead of the condo. The two flights of stairs was difficult and the ocean view was nice but the road noise was more than we expected. We also could only access one of the three bedrooms because there was only 2 of us. This meant we didn't have access to the other bedrooms air conditioners. It was impossible to cool the living area which made for a very hot week. Parking was also an issue as the spaces are filled with the properties rental car fleet. We would stay again, but get a villa next time.
Overall my family and I had a good stay. The property was safe, comfortable, and felt like home. The unit ( 3 bedroom penthouse) was very spacious and well equipped. The staff was nice and helpful. The major downside was how clean the apartment was. We found a lot of hair in bathrooms and on bedsheets. The furniture especially the rug in the living room needs a serious DEEP clean / shampoo. The sofa and the rug were full of dust and sand. I also recommend opening the windows and buying air fresheners for the unit because it smells very musty. Overall I would recommend this property for a family trip.

We stayed at the Grand Windsock for 6 nights and had a great stay. The ocean view apartment was extremely comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen allowed us to eat in several nights. The kids loved the pool and easy access to the beach.
The Grand Windstock was an amazing property. The Villa was beautiful and perfect for our family. The location was super convenient, with a dive shop on the property, snorkeling across the street, and airport next door. You can even rent your car from the resort, which was affordable and easy to pick-up and return. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Bonaire!
We were 6 retired women staying at the Grand Windsock for a week on vacation. The place is amazing. It was so clean my grandmother would have approved. We did encounter a problem one morning when we discovered a tiny bug with crab like pincers in one of the beds which we promptly took to the office. Had we googled it first we wouldn’t have been so freaked out. Here it was a common, harmless bug similar to many spiders. However, they promptly took care of the situation spraying our beds to force out any bugs and changed all of our linens and scrubbed the place down. Even though we were in the tropics we encountered no other bugs after that. The rest of the trip we enjoyed snorkeling at a fantastic little walk -in sandy beach, Tearmo? Located right down the road by the airport. The Windsock also has a little restaurant, The Beach, located across the road, beachfront which is average to above average with a limited menu and bar. The pool at the Windsock is as pictured and is beautiful and large with adequate seating. It also has a little bar with live music on certain nights. There is a fully equipped dive shop at the entrance to the resort. I know the condos are individually owned so it’s hard to say about others but our kitchen was amazingly equipped with everything you could possibly think of needing. The laundry room even had a drying rack because there is no dryer. All in all it’s a fantastic place and we will definitely stay there next year when we go for our second trip.
We spent 5 nights here and it was fantastic for our 1st time in Bonaire. Very convenient airport transfer to the resort a short 5 min drive and they arranged car rental in advance so it was ready to go when we arrived. Car was good for exploring the rest of the island and going to town or dinner. Pool is very nice and right across the street is a beach club with lots of loungers and water access (no actual beach and steep stair entrance into stunning water-may be a little tricky for some). You can also walk to a few beaches, another restaurant and food truck. My husband dived with Wanna dive shop onsite and had great experience. Shore diving is literally across the street or within short drive. We stayed in B16 penthouse apartment and the ocean view was awesome. Perfect for my husband and I, my mother and our daughter did spring break. Will definitely return to the Windsock!
