This is a lovely hotel in an historical part of Krakow. Beautifully designed and fantastic staff. Near amenities and local restaurants with it also away from some of the more touristy and expensive locations in the city. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to go to Krakow. Breakfast was also great with cleaning and housekeeping also amazing.

Good but can be great!
We recently stayed at 1891 Garni hotel in Krakow located in an excellent area. The hotel was clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room Comfort: The beds were uncomfortable with noticeable wear and an uneven surface. Although the staff tried to accommodate by offering another room and flipping the mattresses, the issue persisted. They did fulfill my request for orthopedic pillows which improved comfort slightly. Gym Facilities: The gym was underwhelming, contrary to the advertised amenities. It was a small room with limited equipment, and one malfunctioning machine that wasn’t fixed during my stay, which was disappointing. Dining Experience: The food, especially breakfast, was excellent, offering a variety of delicious options. Overall: The hotel shines in service and cleanliness but falls short in providing comfortable sleeping arrangements and adequate gym facilities. The staff’s responsiveness was appreciable, but improvements are necessary for a better guest experience.

A really lovely hotel in a prime location. Staff were a bit abrupt and there were some dirtier areas, but overall I would definitely recommend to others and I would stay again. Breakfast needed some improvement, too, although it was so cheap one can’t complain!

BAD MUZAC!
Excellent in nearly every way...BUT....awful muzac in the lobby and could not be turned off in the "privae" library/office room. The Receptionist did turn it off at 2200 ( thank you)...but the presence of background muzak did not do justice to the otherwise excellent hotel environment

I think the breakfast could of been a lot better,all the cooked food was cold,coffee was Luke warm,they could of done bacon,but had a good variety of cold food.

Terrible service
I should have listened to the other reviews mentioning bad customer service. After a long day of sightseeing I returned to the hotel and wanted to have a drink in the bar. The lobby was full of people for some kind of event which eventually moved downstairs. The problem is there is no door to seal off the noise. I started my drink and then some guy using a large speaker ended up talking for a long time and it was very loud. This was not going to allow me to relax. The noise was too much. I went to the reception to say that it was impossible to have a quiet drink at a bar with all this noise and she just stared at me without even saying a word. I told her that i will leave the hotel for my drinks. Again, not one word spoken, just a blank stare. It was incredible. The hotel should have a separate space with a door for these kinds of events so that guests can have a drink in the evening without being surrounded by a party and its noise. We should also be able to mention this to your staff and get a response. I also asked for green tea one evening. It was brought to my room but one one packet. I was saying 2 nights. Why aren't a couple different types of tea already in the room? The last he could have done was brought 2 of them. So, the service here is terrible! Finally, you need to put labels on the food for breakfast. Your staff doesn't even know what some items were!

Brilliant property located on the edge of an historical Jewish quarter. Staff members were polite and eager to help. They also booked tours to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Welichia Salt Mine with a company called Krakow Direct. Both tours turned out to be excellent.
